Contrary to popular belief, the Scottish Premiership race is far from over. Yes, Celtic have a 9-point lead on both the Rangers & Aberdeen, but after the disastrous performance from Brendan Rodgers’ against Zenit St Petersburg in the second leg of last week’s Europa League tie, anything is possible- including a tighter title race. Of course, for that to happen Aberdeen will want to make sure they defeat the Hoops on Sunday. This potential defeat- along with another “Old Firm” match in mid-March- could see Celtic struggle to retain last year’s treble. However, Celtic have proven they can perform outstandingly when it really matters (except defending a 1 goal advantage against Zenit), so the Bhoys will really need to put on their best performance against an Aberdeen side who have lost all 5 games played against the “Old Firm” teams this season.
