The second instalment of Sky Sports’ Super Sunday fixtures sees Arsenal take on Tottenham in what will be Unai Emery’s first North London derby as Arsenal manager.
After losing the opening 2 games of the season, Emery has since seen his side go 11 games unbeaten in the league and 18 games unbeaten in all competitions.
The Spaniard has had an immediate impact since taking over the reigns at Arsenal, who currently sit 5th in the table, 3 points behind their rivals in 3rd.
The Gunners have scored the second most number of goals in the Premier League (28), but have kept just 2 clean sheets after 13 games – no team has kept fewer. Interestingly, Arsenal’s xG data reads 18.63 which indicates they are massively over-performing in front of goal.
Meanwhile, Tottenham come into Sunday’s game as one of the most in-form sides, winning 7 of their last 8 games in the league. They have also won their last 5 away league games.
Despite failing to bring in a single player during the summer transfer window, Mauricio Pochettino has lead Spurs to their best start to a Premier League season since 2011-12, when they accumulated one point more (31).
Tottenham have the joint 3rd best defensive record, conceding just 11 goals and keeping 5 clean sheets – only league leaders Man City (8), Liverpool (8) and Chelsea (6) have kept more.
It’s been a while since we’ve witnessed a North London derby classic, but this has the makings of one.
Alexandre Lacazette is a doubt for Arsenal. Laurent Koscielny, Konstantinos Mavropanos, Danny Welbeck and Nacho Monreal remain sidelined.
Erik Lamela is a doubt for Tottenham. Vincent Janssen, Mousa Dembele, Davinson Sanchez and Victor Wanyama have all been ruled out.
Potential Arsenal Starting XI:Leno, Holding, Sokratis, Mustafi, Kolasinac, Xhaka, Torreira, Bellerín, Özil, Iwobi, Aubameyang
Potential Tottenham Starting XI: Lloris, Rose, Vertonghen, Alderweireld, Aurier, Dier, Sissoko, Eriksen, Alli, Heung-Min, Kane

With both sides flying high at the moment, I’m expecting a high-tempo game and so there are two markets that take my interest.
Arsenal are expected to line-up with a 3-4-1-2 formation compared to Tottenham’s 4-2-3-1 and so the home side will look to dominate wide areas with fullbacks Kolasinac and Bellerin.
That points me to corners for The Gunners who have averaged 6.43 at The Emirates this season and we can get ‘Arsenal Race To 5 Corners’ at even money with BetVictor.
The second market that appeals is the cards market.
Both sides rank low for cards this season, but this is a derby and more importantly, Unai Emery’s first, so the Spaniard will be looking for a performance and a result from his players.
Emery likes his sides to press high and with the pace that Tottenham have on the counter attack, that could lead to plenty of fouls.
Over 5 Asian Total Cards is 9/10 with bet365 which looks a great bet to me. This means if there are exactly 5 cards the bet is void, 4 or less the bet is lost and 6 or more and the bet is won.
I also like the look of Dele Alli to be booked at 23/10. Admittedly, he’s failed to pick up a single booking in the Premier League this season, but after scoring last weekend against Chelsea, this is just the type of game he could see a yellow.
