Atletico Madrid certainly proved their worth in the round of 16, as they demolished Lokomotiv Moscow in an 8-1 win over two legs. The Madrid side will look to continue this level of success as they will be hoping over the border to take on Portuguese side, Sporting Lisbon. Atletico currently sit second in the La Liga table – although they wont be able to catch Barcelona, they do have comfortable breathing space between themselves and Real Madrid who sit in third.

On the other hand, Sporting Lisbon are considerably lucky to find themselves at this stage in the tournament. The Portuguese side recorded a routine 2-0 victory over Plzen in the first leg but seemed to struggle in the second. The Czech side stunned Sporting as they beat the Portuguese side 2-1, however, Lisbon’s efforts in the first leg helped carry them through to the Quarter Final.
