Belgium host Costa Rica on Monday in their final friendly match in preparation for squaring up against England in Group G in the World Cup
Costa Rica’s last world cup was much a success, topping a group involving Uruguay, Italy as well as England, winning 2 and drawing against the latter but have faired slightly worse in recent games. losing 1-0 to Tunisia and 2-1 against Panama in recent matches and their fixture with Belgium will give England fans a good insight into how stern the Group G fixture will prove.
Goals from Marcus Rashford and Danny Welbeck were enough to condemn Costa Rica to defeat when they visited Wembley to face England in their last fixture but Belgium will be confident to atleast match this result.
The Red Devils, who will face England in group G, are in fine form leading up to this game, beating Egypt 3-0 on Wednesday, including goals from Premier League trio Eden Hazard, Romelu Lukaku and Marouane Fellaini. This result followed 4-0 victories over both Bosnia and Herzgegovina as well as Cyprus. The home side have infact scored over 2.5 goals in four of their last five matches. Portugal, however, kept quiet the Premier League dominant attack in a 0-0 draw.
Vincent Kompany is inured for the hosts.
