Birmingham City v Aston Villa Championship Betting Preview
Venue: St Andrew’s

Birmingham play host to bitter rivals Aston Villa in the Second City Derby aiming for a much-needed morale boosting victory on Sunday.
Birmingham, who are already on their second manager of the season after Steve Cotterill replaced Harry Redknapp are just one place and one point above the bottom three in the Championship table.
Cotterill got off to a winning start in his first game against Cardiff City, but saw his slump to a 2-0 defeat away to Millwall last time out.
Villa on the other hand are one of the form teams in the Championship with five wins from their last six games with their only defeat coming against leaders Wolves.
Steve Bruce has turned things round at Villa Park after a slow start to the season and his side are now sitting in fifth position in the table just five points outside the automatic promotion places.
These Second City Derby clashes have been notoriously tight in recent encounters with there having been under 2.5 goals in seven of the last eight meetings.
It should be a similar story this weekend so backing under the goals would be the way to go as both sides battle for bragging rights.
Cotterill will be desperate not to suffer derby heartache in just his third game in charge so the draw could be a real play especially with the last two meetings at St Andrew’s between these two clubs ending 1-1.
Goalkeeper David Stockdale remains sidelined with a broken wrist for Birmingham, while loan signing Carl Jenkinson is still recovering from a dislocated shoulder.
Neil Taylor remains missing for Villa as he serves the final game of his three-game ban.
Jack Grealish continued his return to fitness after a lenghty spell out with a run-out the Under-23s on Monday, but the Second City Derby is likely to come too soon for the midfielder, while Gabby Agbonlahor, Mile Jedinak and Andre Green are set to miss out again through injury.
Potential Birmingham Starting XI: Birmingham 4-2-3-1 formation: Kuszczak; Colin, Roberts, Morrison, Grounds; Kieftenbeld, Davis, Maghoma, N’Doye, Adams; Vassell
Potential Aston Villa Starting XI: Aston Villa 4-4-1-1 formation: Johnstone; El Mohamady, Terry, Chester, Hutton; Whelan, Hourihane; Adomah, Snodgrass, Onomah; Kodjia
