Bournemouth v Spurs Betting Preview, Odds & Tips

  • Date: 04/05/19
  • Time: 12:30
  • Venue: Dean Court

This is a game where Spurs attention is surely on the second leg of the Champions League, but at the same time, are not guaranteed to make the top four, so could lose this, be knocked out the European Cup and having to settle for the Europa League if they fall out the top four.

This game for the hosts to them is more of a dead rubber game only playing for position. Bookies are pricing this factoring the side with the greatest need here, but Bournemouth could spring a surprise.

Team News

Betting Odds

  • Bournemouth- 16/5 BetVictor
  • Draw – 3/1 Betfair
  • Spurs – 19/20 Unibet

The Verdict

The match odds imply Spurs may find this difficult in taking the three points being the odds-on side of evens. Bournemouth have not been effective at home having failed to win all of the last five and are just over 3/1 generally implying a 25% chance of winning the game. With Spurs a smidgen under 50% to win the game, with a Champions League second leg to follow. This is surely second fiddle to the Champions League.

The prices can give cases for all three outcomes, as I like the draw best. This would not be the worse result considering Manchester United and Arsenal have encountered recent wobbles. However, if I was to select from the match result market it would be the draw.

The bet we are looking towards are for both sides to be awarded four or more corners. Bournemouth and Spurs have been awarded an average of 4.78 corners home and away respectively. 12/18 occasions the home side have passed three corners, with Spurs passing this on 11/18 occasions. This is over half and worthy of backing based on the percentage of the bet price.
