After their 8 game winning run came to an end last week, Cardiff will host Championship leaders Wolves on Friday, with the Welsh team determined to knock the league leaders off the top spot. Wolves are currently 6 points ahead of second placed Cardiff, but that difference could soon become an uncomfortable one if Neil Warnock´s men manage to sneak a victory.
Wolves have been on top for most of the season and they have already lost more games this calendar year than they did in the first half of the Championship season. Granted that´s only one loss more, but it could be cause for concern for Nuno´s team. Despite only being his fourth team to manage, the Portuguese coach has had a large impact on the club, attracting talent such as Rubén Neves- who has been nominated for both the Championship Player of the Season and Young Player of the season.
2018 has been a stellar year so far for both clubs, with both sides already gearing up for yet another season in the Premier League. Wolves will want to make a statement and in order to do so they´ll need to beat a Cardiff side who have only lost two home matches all season.
Cardiff will be without Jazz Richards, Armand Traoré and Joe Ralls.
Wolves boast a fully fit squad.
Potential Cardiff Starting XI: Etheridge, Manga, Morrison, Bamba, Bennett, Grujic, Gunnarsson, Mendez-Laing, Patterson, Hoilett, Zohore.
Potential Wolves Starting XI: Ruddy, Bennett, Coady, Boly, Doherty, Neves, Saiss, Douglas, Costa, Jota, Cavaleiro.
