CSKA Moscow v Arsenal Betting Preview
Venue: VEB Arena

12 years have passed since Arsenal last played CSKA Moscow in Russia and after last week’s comfortable 4-1 victory, it would seem that the Gunners have progressed to the semi-finals.
CSKA currently sit in 3rd place in the league and they have picked up 9 out of 12 points, suffering only one defeat all year- aside from last week’s one. It’s extremely difficult to overturn such a scoreline, but Goncharenko’s side will try and take some inspiration from a Roma side that knocked out Barcelona on Tuesday with the same score in the first leg.
However, in the Russian’s path lays a very much in-form Arsenal side. After a somewhat shaky start to the year- including defeats to Bournemouth, Swansea and Brighton- the Gunners seem to have found their feet again, with Aubameyang and Mkhitayran proving to be an excellent boost for the squad, despite the former being ineligible to play and the latter picking up a knee injury that will keep him out for the rest of the season.
As long as Arsenal score a goal or two, they shouldn’t have much to worry about, seeing as an away goal could prove to be vital for the North London side, whose rivals will be eager to put them out of the competition.
Viktor Vasin and Mario Fernandes are both sidelined for the Russian side.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan is ruled out with knee ligament damage suffered in the first leg. Granit Xhaka has not travelled due to illness.
Potential CSKA Moscow Starting XI: Akinfeev, Berezutski, Berezutski, Ignashevich, Kuchaev, Dzagoev, Natkho, Golovin, Nababkin, Musa, Wernbloom.
Potential Arsenal Starting XI: Cech, Bellerín, Mustafi, Koscielny, Monreal, Ramsey, Xhaka, Welbeck, Wilshere, Özil, Lacazette.
