Manchester City visit Feyenoord in their opening Champions League group game. Man City were lethal against Liverpool on Saturday as they scored five but it is a different task in Europe. Feyenoord were Eredivisie champions last year for the first time in 18 years and have won all four matches this season. They are managed by the former Barcelona full back Giovanni van Bronckhorst.

Feyenoord lost key defenders Terence Kongolo and Rick Karsdorp in the summer while Dirk Kuyt retired. They were unable to progress from their Europa League group last season, but did defeat Man United at home. They are in a tough group, one containing dark horses Napoli.

City are expected to compete on all fronts this season after their summer spending on players. The owners will not forgive Guardiola another last 16 exit. They have an abundance of attacking talent which will frighten any defence and are expected to go to Rotterdam and win.
