Frosinone host Juventus on Sunday night, as the Bianconeri look to continue their perfect start.
Frosinone are in a world of hurt; they last week succumbed to a 5-0 defeat at home to Sampdoria and are still yet to score a goal this season. They have conceded ten goals in their four games so far, with another difficult match on the horizon for Moreno Longo’s men against one of the league’s more potent attacks.
Meanwhile, Max Allegri’s Juve have started their title defence in perfect fashion – with four wins from their opening four matches. Cristiano Ronaldo finally found the net last weekend for his new club – a match winning brace as Juventus defeated Sassuolo 2-1 in a somewhat controversial match.
Juve come off a 2-0 midweek win away to Valencia in the Champions League, and Ronaldo will be looking to use this match to grab a few more Serie A goals.
In team news for Frosinone, they are without midfielder Mirko Gori after he sustained a shoulder injury.
However, Juventus will be without a number of players for the match. Mattia De Sciglio, Andrea Barzagli, Leo Spinazzola and Sami Khedira are all injured. They will also be without the suspended Douglas Costa, as the Brazilian was hit with a four-match ban for spitting at Sassuolo’s Federico Di Francesco last weekend.
Potential Frosinone Starting XI: Sportiello; Goldaniga, Salamon, Capuano; Zampano, Chibsah, Crisetig, Hallfredsson, Molinaro; Ciano, Perica
Potential Juventus Starting XI: Perin; Cuadrado, Benatia, Chiellini, Cancelo; Emre Can, Pjanic, Bentancur; Dybala, Mandzukic, Ronaldo
Head To Head
Frosinone – W0 D1 L1
Juventus – W1 D1 L0
Key Stats & Facts
- This will be just the third time the two sides have met; this fixture in the 2016 season saw Frosinone cause Juve problems where the Old Lady needed late goals from Juan Cuadrado and Paulo Dybala to snatch the three points.
- Frosinone 18/1
- Draw 33/5
- Juventus 2/9
I believe that Juventus are a safe-bet to take this game out and add to Frosinone’s woes. They are a huge chance to be relegated at the end of the season, and I expect Juventus to pile on the goals at the Stadio Benito Stirpe. BetStars are offering 29/10 odds for Juventus to win with the (-2) handicap.
