Leeds will be looking to strengthen their promotion hopes with a win against a relegation-threatened Wigan.
The hosts’ win against rivals Sheffield Wednesday last week sees them occupy second spot, three points ahead of Sheffield United and four points behind leaders Norwich City.
With Sheffield United having a slightly better goal difference, Leeds know that they must put Wigan to the sword.
The visitors sit one spot above the drop zone and are two points ahead of Rotherham United who currently occupy the final relegation spot.
An impressive 1-1 draw to league leaders Norwich City saw the Tics edge closer to survival but with no win in four they know that wins are now a must.
Paul Cook’s side will be eager to avoid a third drop into League One having won promotion from the division twice in the last three seasons.
Marcelo Bielsa will not have Liam Cooper at his disposal with the club captain absent last week. Barry Douglas is also a long-term absentee.
The visitors, on the other hand, will be without Danny Fox after he was forced off with an injury last week.
Potential Leeds Starting XI: Casilla, Jansson, Phillips, Beradi, Ayling, Klich, Roberts, Alioski, Hernandez, Bamford, Harrison
Potential Wigan Starting XI: Walton, Byrne, Dunkley, Olsson, Robinson, James, Morsy, Massey, Evans, Naismith, Clarke

Key Stats & Facts

- Wigan, on the other hand, have the worst away record in the division picking up one win on the road this season.
- Leeds 7/17
- Draw 17/4
- Wigan 17/2
For the first time in months Leeds can start to look up at the league leaders Norwich instead of consolidating second spot.
Despite showing that they are prone to the odd slip-up, the Whites should find themselves in control against a Wigan side that have been extremley poor on the road this season.
Bamford has netted eight goals in 18 Championship games for Leeds this season and he will be looking to add to his tally against a very leaky Wigan back-line.
If you decide to have a flutter on a Bamford goal, the best odds will be at 23/20 with SkyBet, Coral or BetVictor.
With Wigan not netting too many on their travels and Leeds not conceding many at home, Bielsa will be confident that his team can dispatch of Wigan without conceding.
If you’re backing a Leeds win as well as a clean sheet, you can find Ladbrokes offering the best odds at 5/4.
