Liverpool v Leicester Betting Preview
Liverpool host Leicester this Saturday as the hosts look to stretch their unbeaten run to 12 games, whilst Leicester look to end their three-match winless run following the 2-1 defeat to Watford.
Leicester are aiming to win at Anfield for the first time since 2000 but have won three of the last six matches against their opponents in all competitions. The two sides have met twice already this season; Liverpool coming out on top in a thrilling 2-3 win at the King Power in the league before Leicester knocked the Reds out of the League Cup 2-0 in the third round.
Liverpool ability to put teams to the sword were again on display the other night when they dispatched struggling Swansea 5-0 at home. Leicester were beaten away from home against Watford on Boxing Day, despite taking the lead, so will be looking to get back to winning ways.
Liverpool and Leicester are involved in high scoring affairs, there have been over 2.5 goals in 10 of Liverpool’s last 17 and eight in 17 of Leicester’s league games. BTTS has occurred in four of the last six between these sides in the league and there has been over 3.5 goals in the last three meetings in the Premier League.
Jurgen Klopp admitted chances could be made for this game, as Liverpool prepare for two games in the next 48 hours. Leicester also play twice in the same period, so changes could also be made.
Jordan Henderson has been ruled out for up to two months, whilst Alberto Moreno remains on the sidelines through injury. Daniel Sturridge looks unlikely to feature but Adam Lallana, Loris Karius and Sadio Mane could be called up to the starting line-up.
Leicester are without defenders Robert Huth and Danny Simpson but Daniel Amartey is available for selection.
