Lyon v Everton Betting Preview
Stadium: Stade de Lyon
Channel: BT Sport
Everton visit Lyon on Thursday where they hope to end their dismal run of form. They are at a stage where they are not sure where their next win is coming from and they are in deep trouble. Without a manager, David Unsworth is in temporary charge but he has been unable to stem the tide. They were comfortably beaten by Leicester on Sunday and now face a youthful and vibrant Lyon side who will smell blood. Bertrand Traore was excellent in the reverse fixture against Everton and scored the winner.
Lyon is a difficult place to go at the best of times but Everton are in a situation where they are leaking goals and unable to score themselves. The French side are exciting going forward and will definitely cause problems for Everton like they did at Goodison. Everton need a win to keep their slim hopes of qualification alive but it is difficult to give them much of a chance. Lyon know a win will put them very close to an appearance into the last 32.
Keane and McCarthy are out injured while Baines, Rooney and Jagielka have not travelled. Grenier and Mendy are unlikely to feature for Lyon.
