Netherlands v England Betting Preview
Venue: Amsterdam Arena
Of Friday England will face one of the two nations that have failed to qualify for this summer’s World Cup. After two unsuccessful qualifying campaigns, the Netherlands will be rebuilding and experimenting their squad ahead of the next qualifications. At the helm of the Dutch is Ronald Koeman, who has called up several uncapped youngsters for these friendlies- including Justin Kluivert.
Gareth Southgate has also made some interesting choices, naming 4 uncapped players and bringing back old faces, and amongst them is Jack Wilshere- who hasn’t been in the England squad since Euro 2016.
Southgate has the hard job of trying to figure out what’s the best XI he could possibly field out in Russia, a job that will be on his mind for the last months of the football season. England face a possibility of a World Cup without Harry Kane, which could potentially blow any hope out of the water for England fans.
Despite not being the best manager in the Premier League, Koeman and his selection will emulate the same style of play that the Dutch have always had, using pace & youth to get the better of any team before them.
The Netherlands don’t have any injuries to worry about, whereas Ryan Bertrand has withdrawn from the England squad after picking up a back injury.
Potential Netherlands Starting XI: Cillessen, Tete, de Vrij, van Dijk, Aké, Strootman, de Roon, Wijnaldum, Berghuis, Dost, Depay.
Potential England Starting XI: Butland, Stones, Dier, Maguire, Walker, Henderson, Lallana, Young, Sterling, Vardy, Rashford.
