Qarabag v Chelsea Betting Preview
Date: 22nd November
Channel: BT Sport 2
Stadium: Azersun Arena
Chelsea travel to Azerbaijan looking to further cement their progression into the knockout stages of the Champions League. After a defeat to Roma in their last Champions League outing the Londoners find themselves 2nd in the group 1 point of the Italian side.
Qarabag have done fantastically well in their first ever Champions League group, managing to hold Spanish Giants Atletico too 2 draws (thus helping Chelsea & Roma’s qualification chances,) so they shouldn’t be counted out here. They enter the game on a 5 match undefeated streak, and they know a win here would further throw Group C in to chaos.
Although Chelsea lost last time out in the competition, they have looked very good in their last 2 Premier League outings. They beat Manchester United and convincingly saw off West Brom on Saturday, keeping 2 clean sheets in the process. Still, this is an absolute must win game for Chelsea, who host Atletico in the final group game, and even with their current issues, can beat anyone on their day. Conte will be looking for his team to but the game to bed early in order to release any pressure that may build during the game.
Taking into account how Qarabag held out against Atletico, this game doesn’t have goals written all over it, so under 2.5 looks a good shout here.
- Qarabag welcome back Ibrahim Sehic who was suspended at the weekend, and it also looks likely that Dino Ndlovu may feature after suspension.
- Chelsea are without Michy Batshuayi through injury, whilst Victor Moses is still out.
Qarabag Potential Starting XI – Sehic; Medvedev, Rzezniczak, Sadiqov, Agolli; Qarayev; Henrique, Michel, Almeida, Madatov; Seydaev
Chelsea Potential Starting XI – Courtois; Alonso, Rudiger, Luiz, Cahill Azpilicueta; Kante, Bakayoko; Pedro, Hazard; Morata
