Real Madrid v Alavés Betting Preview
Venue: Santiago Bernabéu
Channel: Sky Sports Football
After a comfortable victory midweek against Leganés, Real Madrid moved up to 3rd place in La Liga, although they still sit 7 points behind 2nd placed Atlético Madrid and 14 points behind league leaders Barcelona. Alavés have had a tremendous turnaround since they came under new management. Abelardo’s men have skyrocketed from the relegation zone, putting themselves a comfortable 10 points from it.
Los Blancos will have the home advantage going into the game, and if Zidane’s side perform as they have done in the last few games they shouldn’t have much of a challenge. However, this season has seen Real lose crucial points in relatively easy games, and the underdog is always overlooked.
Alavés are on a high and will go in full of confidence and with a real possibility of gaining points. However, Real Madrid are still lethal in attack, and they tend to need little chances to convert them into goals.
Real Madrid are missing a lot of key players: Kroos, Marcelo & Modric through injury and Sergio Ramos is suspended. However, Alavés will be without Munir- also suspended.
Potential Real Madrid Starting XI: Navas, Hernández, Varane, Nacho, Carvajal, Isco, Casemiro, Kovacic, Vázquez, Asensio, Ronaldo.
Potential Alavés Starting XI: Pachecho, Ruano, Ely, Laguardia, Duarte, Gómez, García, Pina, Pedraza, Guidetti, Sobrino.
