Roma v Chelsea Betting Preview
Venue: Stadio Olimpico
Channel: BT Sport
The fourth gameweek of this season’s campaign in group C sees Chelsea visit the Italian capital with both teams undefeated with the last outing being an enthralling 3-3 draw at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea were two ahead, then pegged back and then behind, before a late equaliser. Both teams love scoring goals and the attacking threat here has already proven to make a great game. If this encounter is anything like the first game between the two a couple of weeks ago, including world class goals from Dzeko, then we are in for a treat.
Both sides are looking good for qualification to the knockout stages after Atletico’s embarrassing slip up to Qarabag, with a 0-0 draw against the 10 men from Azerbaijan. A win for either side would be vital, yet I see another draw here, perhaps 2-2. Conte’s big decision is deciding who leads the line for his team, as key man Alvaro Morata is being battled closely by Batshuayi who seems to score almost in every appearance. Chelsea are already 9 points off Manchester City in the league and after an impressive champions league campaign, this competition may be their best chance at a major trophy. Winning the competition isn’t beyond their reach but a win in Rome would surely have top teams like Madrid and PSG worried.
Kante and Moses still remain a doubt for the visitors.
