Following their derby day loss to Lazio and their Champions League exit at the hands of FC Porto, Roma will be looking to return to winning ways at home to Empoli.
After winning four games in a row, the I Giallorossi have now suffered back-to-back defeats for the first time since November.
Eusebio Di Francesco has now been sacked and Claudio Ranieri has since been appointed head coach with his side sitting in fifth spot in Serie A and three points adrift of Inter Milan who occupy the final Champions League spot.
The visitors are coming into the clash fresh from their last-minute draw against Parma which sees them four points ahead of Bologna who sit in the third relegation zone.
Empoli have been awful away from home this season, failing to register one win on their travels in Serie A.
Giuseppe Iachini’s side will be keen to bridge a larger gap between themselves and the bottom three but if they are going to do so, their away form must improve.
The hosts will be without Cengiz Ünder who is sidelined with an injury and he will be out alongside Federico Fazio, Edin Dzeko and Aleksandar Kolarov who are all suspended.
Empoli are without Luca Antonelli and Levan Mchedlidze with the pair out with injuries.
Potential Roma Starting XI: Olsen, Santon, Manolas, Marcano, Florenzi, Nzonzi, Cristante, Zaniolo, Pastore, Shaarawy, Schick
Potential Empoli Starting XI: Dragowski, Silvestre, Dell’Orco, Veseli, Pasqual, Acquah, Bennacer, Krunic, Lorenzo, Caputo, Farias

Claudio Ranieri will be desperate to get a comprehensive win in his first game in charge especially against a side that have struggled on the road this season.
The absence of Edin Dzeko could prove to be a massive loss for the hosts, but they should still be able to get the job done.
Empoli have conceded the most goals away from home and have scored the second least amount of goals, meaning that Roma shouldn’t face too many problems.
