Sevilla seem to be shaking up the European stage. They shocked football fans when they managed to knock out Manchester United in the previous round and this past weekend saw a victory over Barcelona slip through their fingers in the dying minutes of the match. However, their next test is against a behemoth of a team: Bayern Munich.
Bearing in mind that Jupp Heynckes’ side has come from destroying Borussia Dortmund 6-0 in the Bundesliga, it’s safe to say it won’t be an easy task for the Spanish side. The Bavarians are also Champions League-hungry, and have not seen European success for half a decade since their win over Borussia Dortmund in the final in 2013.
Sevilla boast the home advantage on Tuesday, which could prove key to their progression if a result should go their way- which means keeping a clean sheet, which against a team as powerful as Bayern up front, could prove challenging.
Team News
Éver Banega, who is arguably a key man for Sevilla, is suspended.
Bayern are still without Kingsley Coman and Manuel Neuer as they recover from their respective injuries.
