Southampton v West Brom Betting Preview
Venue: St Mary’s
Watch: BT Sport
Following the sacking of Claude Puel last season, Mauricio Pellegrino had high expectations. However, he seems to be crumbling under the pressure of delivering within the Premier League. The Saints have only recorded two wins within the league this season, with their last win coming against Crystal Palace in September. Despite this, Italian striker Manolo Gabbiadini portrayed his deadly form as he netted twice against Newcastle United. If this form is to continue, the West Brom defence will certainly have their work cut out.
Much like Southampton, the Baggies have struggled within recent times. Despite sitting one place higher than the Saints, their last win came in a 1-0 victory over Burnley in August. However, a turn of fortune has seem to occur for the Midlands side as they demonstrated a dominating performance against Leicester in their last fixture. Unfortunately, Riyad Mahrez rescued a point for the Foxes, denying the Baggies three points.
Both sides have a clean bill of health and have a fully fit squad to contest for the three points.
Potential Southampton Starting XI: Forster; Soares, Yoshida, Van Djik, Bertrand; Tadic, Romeu, Lemina, Redmond; Gabbiadini, Long
Potential West From Starting XI: Myhill; Dawson, Hegazy, Evans, Gibbs; Livermore, Krychowiak, Barry; Rodriguez, Rondon, Chadli
