Standout Stats & Streaks W/E 27th October 2017

Patrick Gillen (@PatrickGillen94) uncovers the Standout Stats, Streaks & Trends ahead of this weekend’s football.

Schalke v Wolfsburg – Saturday 14:30

Wolfsburg travel to the Veltins Arena with mixed emotions having drawn their last five Bundesliga fixtures. Interestingly, both teams scored in each of these five draws. The Wolves will have Schalke in their way on Saturday, a team who have just recorded back-to-back league wins against Hertha and Mainz 05. A draw can be found at 13/5 on William Hill with best price 17/5 for a score draw.

Sunderland v Bristol City– Saturday 15:00

Sunderland have yet to win at the Stadium of Light this season despite playing 6 home games. In fact, the Black Cats are currently on an 11 game streak without a league win and face a buoyant Bristol City side. The Robins are on a high after despatching Premier League opponents Crystal Palace 4-1 in midweek’s Carabao cup fixture, and will face Manchester United in the next round. The away side are 17/10 with Ladbrokes to claim victory and a tempting 12/1 to win from behind.

Norwich v Derby County – Saturday 15:00

Derby County are fast becoming clean sheet kings after last week recording their third shutout in a row. Norwich have only scored two goals in their last four games at Carrow Road, and will have to work hard to break through Gary Rowett’s stubborn backline. Derby to win to nil could be worth a punt, with Betfair offering a tempting 5/1.

Benevento v Lazio – Sunday 11:30

Benevento have been one of the poorest newcomers in recent Serie A memory, having amassed a total of zero points from a possible 30. To make things worse, they face an in-form Lazio side that still have a 100% winning away record in the league, including a famous victory in Turin over Juventus. PaddyPower are offering an enticing 9/4 for Lazio to win with a -2.0 handicap.
