Standout Stats & Streaks W/E 20th October 2017
Patrick Gillen (@PatrickGillen94) uncovers the Standout Stats, Streaks & Trends ahead of this weekend’s football.
Huddersfield v Manchester United – Saturday 15:00
David Wagner’s Huddersfield Town have failed to win each of their last six games, scoring just one goal. This won’t make good reading for the Terriers, who face a Man United side that haven’t conceded in four straight league games. Jose Mourinho’s men are a tempting 1/1 with BetVictor to win to nil on Saturday, as they continue their title challenge.
Nottingham Forest v Burton Albion – Saturday 15:00
It’s another East Midlands matchup for Nottingham Forest on Saturday as they face Burton Albion at The City Ground. Forest will be desperate to bounce back after defeat against rivals Derby County last weekend as they face a Burton side devoid of confidence. Burton have now gone four games without scoring a goal and it wouldn’t be a surprise if that run stretches on. The smart bet could be Under 1.5 Match Goals at best price 31/10 with 888Sport.
Bristol City v Leeds United – Saturday 15:00
Unbeaten in 10 games, Bristol City entertain a Leeds United side struggling for form at Ashton Gate. Leeds, despite making a bright start to the season, come into this game having lost four of their last five. Thomas Christiansen’s side have conceded three times in their last two away games so place your bets on goals in this one. Bristol City to win and over 2.5 goals is top price 11/5 with Ladbrokes.
Napoli v Inter Milan – Saturday 19:45
Napoli remain the only team in each of Europe’s six major leagues to still have a 100% winning record as they seek their first Serie A title since 1990. Inter Milan provide tough opposition and go into this game on a high after beating city rivals AC in last week’s Milan derby. Napoli have won three of the last five meetings between these two teams, but Inter have notched a goal in every game so far this season and have Mauro Icardi in menacing form. A home win with both teams to score seems a strong bet and can be found at best price 15/8 with Betfair.
Marseille v Paris Saint German – Sunday 20:00
PSG will be overwhelming favourites as they travel to the Stade Velodrome to face a Marseille side that they have beaten in 11 out of their last 12 meetings. With Payet, N’jie and Mitroglou in the side, Marseilles haven’t had problems scoring goals, but have been very leaky defensively, conceding 15 goals already in the opening nine fixtures. Paris’ attacking all-stars will always be likely to score goals, so we expect an away win with both teams to score. This bet can be found at best price 13/10 with William Hill
