Tottenham v Rochdale Betting Preview
Watch: BT Sport 2
For the second consecutive round, Spurs have been taken to a replay by lower ranked opposition.
Thanks to a last minute equaliser, Rochdale earned a deserved trip to Wembley. Keith Hill’s side sit bottom of League Two but troubled Tottenham at Spotland.
The winner will travel to Swansea in the quarter-finals.
With Man City, Liverpool and Arsenal all out the competition, Mauricio Pochettino’s team have a great opportunity to earn their first piece of silverware under his reign. We also can’t underestimate the fact that Wembley has been home for Spurs this season.
Pochettino will likely ring the changes, with the likes of Michel Vorm, Kieran Trippier, Juan Foyth, Danny Rose, Harry Winks, Lucas Moura, Son Heung-Min and Fernando Llorente getting game time.
At Wembley Tottenham have won five games on the bounce to nil and have won all three cup games against lower division opposition without conceding.
Rochdale earned many plaudits for the nature of their play, while they also remained organised and defensively sound.
Jan Vertonghen is out. Toby Alderweireld is a doubt.
Rochdale are still likely to be without Niall Canavan, Keith Keane and Calvin Andrew.
Potential Spurs Starting XI: Vorm; Trippier, Sanchez, Foyth, Rose; Winks, Wanyama; Sissoko, Lucas, Son; Llorente
