West Brom v Liverpool Betting Preview
Venue: The Hawthorns
West Brom host Liverpool this weekend in a crucial fixture for the Baggies. They are nine points from safety with just four games to go so need to win all their remaining fixtures to stand a chance of surviving the drop.
Liverpool’s top-four spot is very nearly confirmed and with their first-leg of the Champions League semi-final coming up on Tuesday night, so Reds’ manager Jurgen Klopp may be tempted to rest players here.
Klopp will know Liverpool still need a few more points to make the top 4 spot secure and a game here against the bottom side in the league represents a good chance to collect some more points.
West Brom beat United last weekend and will be in confident mood against an under-strength Liverpool side. They need all three points on Saturday, so that could play into Liverpool’s hands and Klopp will still have attacking threat to trouble the Baggies defence.
Betting wise there is certainly a lean towards the home side. West Brom or draw in the double-chance market looks good value at 17/10 given games between these two sides are normally tight affairs. There have been four draws in the last six league games between these two sides so the draw at 7/2 is also a bet to look at.
West Brom are without James Morrison due to injury and Daniel Sturridge due to this being against his parent club. Nacer Chadli, Jonny Evans and Gareth Barry are all doubts for the game.
Liverpool are without defensive players Nathaniel Clyne and Joel Matip, whilst Emre Can and Adam Lallana are out of contention in the midfield.
Potential West Brom Starting XI: Foster; Nyom, Dawson, Hegazi, Gibbs; Phillips, Livermore, Brunt, McClean; Rodriguez; Rondon
Potential Liverpool Startint XI: Karius; Gomez, Klavan, Van Dijk, Moreno; Wijnaldum, Henderson, Milner; Ings, Solanke, Mane
