David Moyes goes in search of his first victory as West Ham manager on his home debut, hosting newly appointed Claude Puel’s Leicester City.
Moyes suffered defeat in his opening game in charge of the Hammers, losing 2-0 to Watford. This was West Ham’s fifth game without a victory in the league, including a 4-1 defeat to Liverpool and 3-0 defeat to Brighton.
Puel has faired quite the opposite in his three matches in charge of Leicester despite losing 2-0 to league leaders Manchester City in his most recent test. The former Southampton boss was victorious in his first game in charge, a 2-0 victory over Moyes’ former side, Everton, followed by a share of the spoils in a 2-2 draw against Stoke.
Javier Hernandez will again be unavailable for David Moyes in just his second game in charge with the Mexican striker having missed the defeat against Watford. Moyes is without experienced centre back pairing James Collins and Jose Fonte through injury while attackers Andre Ayew, Marko Arnautovic and Michail Antonio are all set for their returns.
Leicester are still missing Robert Huth and Matty James who are both injured.
Potential West Ham starting XI: Hart, Cresswell, Ogbonna, Reid, Zabaleta, Obiang, Noble, Kouyate, Lanzini, Carroll, Arnautovic
Potential Leicester City Starting XI: Schmeichel, Fuch, Morgan, Maguire, Simpson, Mahrez, Ndidi, Iborra, Gray, Okazaki, Vardy
