The 2025 Players Championship Finals are a proper pressure cooker — 64 players in a knockout blitz over just a few days. Looks like the bookies couldn’t handle the heat and legged it before finishing the odds, because what they’ve left us is half-baked at best. No bother though, there’s still plenty of tasty value on the table, which could see you cash in £128.33 if you pop a tenner on each.

Darts Players Championship Best Bets Tips

Bet 1: Wall-to-Wall Quality: Schindler’s Quarter-Final Quest Looks Built to Last

The biggest challenge for Schindler in reaching the quarter-finals will almost certainly come in the very first game. Michael Smith looked seriously sharp at the Grand Slam of Darts before being taken out — as everyone eventually was — by the generational wrecking machine that is Luke “The Nuke” Littler, who finally completed the chapter of his story where he became world number one. But if Smith plays at that same level here, this opener could be a real scrap.

But it’s not a level of fight Schindler can’t match. Remember, he’s already won four PDC ranking titles and made quarter-finals at two major singles events: the World Grand Prix and the UK Open. On top of that, he reached the semi-finals of the World Cup of Darts this year and won the 2025 Australian Open. Plus, with Smith’s ongoing health concerns, there’s every chance he simply can’t bring his A-game this time around.

The second match should be more straightforward, against either Niels Zonneveld or Nick Kenny, both players Schindler has the quality to outclass. As for the potential third-round opponents, there are plenty of strong names, but we think only Stephen Bunting poses a serious threat of smashing through “The Wall”.

But any way you slice it, Schindler is stepping up to the oche with a far stronger chance of reaching yet another quarter-final than the 17/2 (10.5% implied probability) odds suggest.

Bet 2: Any English Winner Will Do — But Luke’s Are Looking Likely

These odds are so good we genuinely can’t tell whether Betfred are just being one of the UK’s best betting sites or if they’ve abandoned maths and logic entirely in pursuit of some higher cosmic truth. Either way, the returns are out of this world for the risk involved.

Yes, 8/15 is a bit above evens (65.2% implied probability) but when you think about how likely yet another Littler vs Humphries final looks based on the brackets and what we just witnessed at the Grand Slam of Darts, those odds start to feel lower than a leaky submarine.

The best chance of an upset is probably going to come from Josh Rock or Gerwyn Price but considering how Humphries and Littler picked them apart the other week, we just don’t see it. An absolutely ideal foundational pick to prop up the rest of our bets.

Bet 3: The Perfect Pair: Nine-Darter and 170 to Finish Things Off

2025 has already seen eight televised nine-darters with six of them coming from Littler, Humphries and Gerwyn Price. All three have something big to prove here. For Price, it’s about showing that Humphries and Littler are not “in a league of their own” to everyone else. Littler wants to prove he’s here to stay at world number one for a very long time, while Humphries is determined to show he hasn’t been permanently usurped by the 18-year-old phenomenon.

In other words, these three men, all capable of creating magic with a nine-darter, are here at full strength and highly motivated to make history.

As for a 170 finish, considering the talent involved and that six players managed it during the Grand Slam of Darts, it looks very likely. It’s well worth adding to the nine-darts market for a bit of a boost in odds. We’d consider anything around evens worthwhile for this bet so 4/5 feels just like a nine-darter itself, pure perfection.
