We’ve already had a tournament with more shocks than Frankenstein’s wake-up routine, from van Gerwen getting dumped out by Noppert, to the biggest win of Lucas Wenig’s career. And we’re expecting even more twists that’ll make the bookies’ oche odds look downright delusional. With a treble returning £57.00 on £10.00, we reckon we’re lining up the perfect shot.

Grand Slam of Darts Quarter-Finals Acca Tips
Bet 1: Luke Littler vs Josh Rock — Over 26.5 Total Legs
Despite Josh Rock not playing his sharpest darts against Connor Scutt, and even considering The Nuke’s downright nuclear form as he pushes toward that long-awaited world No. 1 spot, we still reckon this one’s going long. It’s simply how these two operate.
As electric as Luke Littler is, even when he’s dominating, he nearly always coughs up a few legs. Ask anyone who watched him dismantle Nijman — the eye test said total destruction, but the scoreboard still ran to 14 legs.
Up against someone of Josh Rock’s calibre, a player who’s also seen four of his last six matches go right down to the wire, we can absolutely see this one smashing past 26.5 legs in a best-of-31 showdown.
Bet 2: Ricky Evans vs Gerwyn Price — Gerwyn Price to Beat -5.5 Handicap
Price is a brutally tough man to stop when he’s dialled in, and judging by his performance against Schindler, capped off with a big fish to seize the lead, the Iceman is sitting at exactly the right temperature to freeze Evans’ chances of progressing.
Yes, Evans did edge Price in the group stages last week, but taking down a top-15 player is a rarity for him, and we don’t see lightning striking twice.
More importantly, when Price wins, he tends to win with gusto. He’s recently taken four best-of-11 matches by at least five legs and two best-of-nine contests by a minimum of four. Translate those margins into a best-of-31 environment and he’s well-equipped to smash through this handicap.
Bet 3: Luke Humphries vs Michael Smith — Over 14.5 180s
It’s been a hell of a comeback story. Michael Smith endured 11 missed match darts from Chris Dobey to scrape a dramatic 10–9 win — real vindication in the tournament where he made his name back in 2022, after years battling injuries and arthritis. But will Michael Smith’s re-ascension continue? Sadly, this is sport, not cinema, and we think Cool Hand Luke is about to give the Bully Boy a sharp dose of reality.
This one matters for Humphries. He’s trying to cling onto that world number one spot and hold back the tidal wave that is Littler’s rise to the top. The problem is there’s no value in backing him outright, and the best bookies in the UK all clearly agree and have him chalked up at 1/9. But that motivation means we’re expecting more 180s than a cat learning to ice skate. Under these conditions, 14.5 should be light work for these two.
