Christmas season has come to an end, the presents have been opened, and the in-laws are finally out of your hair. However, for all the great things during the festive period, this wasn’t the perfect Christmas for all. Arsenal certainly didn’t get the presents they wanted as Manchester City and Aston Villa avoided slip-ups over the festive period and piled on more pressure in the title race. Things are really beginning to heat up at the top of the table, and the Gunners will be hoping to end this calendar year at the top of the tree.

Arsenal vs Aston Villa Bet Builder

Aston Villa stunned Arsenal earlier this month as they powered to a 2-1 win over Mikel Arteta’s men. Are we about to see a repeat? We have used our stats hub to compile a tasty three-fold bet builder ahead of this latest fixture. We have also checked out some of the best online bookies to make sure you’re getting the right price.

Bet 1: Over 8.5 Corners

We kick off our bet builder in the over 8.5 corners market, hoping to capitalise on Arsenal’s high number of corner kicks this season.

The Gunners have been awarded the set piece 107 times in the Premier League this season. Only Newcastle have been given more, with 115 to their name.

Aston Villa are mid-table when it comes to corners, having received 93 this season. When you combine all the numbers, backing the over 8.5 corner bet does seem like a sensible way to start our bet builder.

Bet 2: Under 3.5 Cards

Arsenal are not only top of the Premier League standings, but they also boast one of the best disciplinary records in the competition.

Mikel Arteta’s men have seen over 2.5 cards in just two of their 18 league matches this term – a record only beaten by Manchester United.

Aston Villa have also kept a good reputation with the officials this season, picking up three or more cards in just four league outings.

There were only two bookings when these two teams last played, and we are leaning towards another clean encounter on Tuesday.

Bet 3: Both Teams to Score

Since losing to Aston Villa at the start of December, Arsenal have bounced back by picking up five straight victories across all competitions.

The Gunners have won their last three Premier League games by a single goal margin, and they have only kept one clean sheet in five previous domestic matches.

Villa, on the other hand, are on a five-match winning run away from home, scoring 13 goals along the way. In fact, Unai Emery’s men have only failed to score in three away games this entire season, and two of them came at the very start of the campaign.

There is a lot to like about both teams, and we are backing this heavyweight Premier League contest to produce goals at both ends.
