Champions League Acca Tips
Bet 1: Over 1.5 Shots on Target – Viktor Gyökeres (13/8)
Look at the goal stats and you’ll see Viktor Gyökeres has managed 4 shots on target across 6 games so far this season. That works out at around 1.33 per match, which is right in line with what we’ve come to expect from the Swedish superstar. So, for this particular market to land, he’ll need to be a touch above average, but it’s well within firing range.
But here’s the kicker. The bookies have Arsenal as firm favourites against Olympiacos, and we’re with them on that. No disrespect to the lads in the Greek Super League, but the week-in, week-out grind of the Premier League is on another level. And Arsenal are thriving in it, with four wins from their last five.
So, could the difference in quality push Gyökeres to unleash a couple more dangerous efforts on goal? We think so. In fact, we’d give him about an even-money chance of racking up at least two shots on target here, which makes the 13/8 on offer look like cracking value.
Bet 2: Full Time Result – PSG to Win (13/5)
Barça’s reputation has a way of making the bookies go a bit giddy. They see one of the greatest clubs in football history and make them favourites almost on instinct. But if they stopped to think, they’d see PSG are more than capable of upsetting the odds. Even without the likes of Dembélé and Doué, this is a side that thrives in exactly these situations.
PSG are not only the reigning Champions League holders, courtesy of a historic 5-0 thrashing of Inter Milan, but they’re also fresh off their best-ever season, sweeping Ligue 1, the Coupe de France, and the Trophée des Champions. And much of that came with key players missing. This season they’ve barely slowed down either, with just a narrow 1-0 defeat to Marseille as the only real recent blemish.
That said, Barcelona are still Barcelona. Their last slip was a 1-1 draw with Rayo Vallecano, but since then they’ve steamrolled Valencia 6-0, edged Newcastle 2-1 in the Champions League, and comfortably seen off Getafe, Oviedo and Real Sociedad. They’re looking sharp and dangerous across the board.
So, what’s the verdict? Both teams are among the very best in world football, and we’d put their chances of winning pretty much level. PSG even have recent history on their side, having beaten Barcelona in 2021 and again in 2024. Yet the bookies have Barça as firm favourites, which is how we’ve ended up with some stonking great 13/5 odds for PSG to win this one.
Bet 3: Last Goalscorer – Erling Haaland (13/5)
The frightening consistency of Norwegian goal machine Haaland means you could back him to score at almost any stage and feel you’ve got a fair shout. Lately though, he’s developed a habit of putting the finishing touches on matches, peppering the opposition’s goal late on for one last bit of devastating impact.
In fact, he’s bagged the final goal in three of Man City’s last five games, against Burnley (where he nabbed two of the five), Arsenal, and Man United. Do the maths and that’s a 60% strike rate. That’s more than double what the best bookies in the UK reckon at 13/5, making this the perfect mid-risk addition to our acca.
