We’re nearly halfway through the latest winter transfer window, and most of the top Premier League clubs have yet to blink. The standout transfer so far was that of Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth to Manchester City in a deal worth up to £65 million, but we’re certain there’s plenty more to come.
January Transfers – Guehi, Salah and Mainoo Exit Rumours
Premier League clubs have until 7PM on Monday, February 2 to conclude any business. A move out of Liverpool has long been on the cards for Mohamed Salah, similarly Marc Guehi away from Palace, and now Kobbie Mainoo could be another big name to look for pastures new away from Old Trafford.
We’ve listed the very best odds from some of the top bookmakers on the market for the biggest potential moves of this January transfer window.
Palace Captain Looking for the Door
Fresh from feeling that he had to go directly to the Eagles fans and explain himself after Crystal Palace’s dire FA Cup loss at Macclesfield, skipper Marc Guehi could now be leaving. Man City are current favourites for his signature.
It’s worth pointing out that Guehi is as short as 4/6 to go to Man City elsewhere in the market, though bet365 believe he will stay at Palace.

Roma Interested in Re-Signing Salah
After his famous interview in the wake of Liverpool’s game at Leeds when he was once again benched, Mo Salah has been looking for a way out of Liverpool for some time. As he returns from AFCON duty with Egypt, his former club Roma appear to have shown interest although the odds tell a different story about his next destination.

England Starlet in Need of a Refresh
Having made his debut for England at only 18 years old in 2024, the world appeared to be at the feet of Man United’s Kobbie Mainoo. But, like so many players at Old Trafford, his career appears to have stalled recently. The midfielder has been restricted to only 14 appearances this season, with these clubs being favourites to tempt him away.
There is another anomaly here. Napoli are only even money with bet365 to land Mainoo, as there is a clear difference in opinion between the bookmakers.

Other Players Potentially Moving This Month
Atletico Madrid’s England international Conor Gallagher is reportedly being monitored by both Aston Villa and Tottenham, the latter in particular are in need of midfield reinforcements. Their own Mathys Tel, a centre-forward signed from Bayern Munich in the summer, could yet look for a loan move this month due to lack of game time.
Spurs’ star defender Micky van de Ven is another rumoured to want to leave. Barcelona is his likely favoured destination, while reports note that Newcastle’s Tino Livramento will be the subject of a bidding war between Arsenal and Man City in the summer. A winter move is unlikely, especially given his latest injury.
A rather speculative, and potentially very controversial manoeuvre, could be the reputed interest from Liverpool in Marseille forward Mason Greenwood. Barcelona may also be looking at the former Manchester United man, the Old Trafford club apparently benefitting from a large sell-on clause related to any future deal.
Lastly, former Chelsea star Tammy Abraham is said to want a move out of Besiktas this month. Sunderland could be keen, but Aston Villa perhaps lead the way with Roma interested in their forward Donyell Malen.
