Man United against Leeds on a Monday night? Someone’s got it in for Greater Manchester Police. This famous Premier League fixture offers a bunch of betting opportunities, and I’ve managed to compile a 3-fold acca to spice things up.
My Man Utd vs Leeds United Predictions
It’s been 16 long years since Leeds last won against Man United when Jermaine Beckford scored that FA Cup goal. Can the Whites end their drought against their biggest rivals? Check out my predictions below and place the acca with BetMGM, one of the best online bookies, to get great odds.
| Market | Odds | Return for £10 |
|---|---|---|
| Man United to Win to Nil | 17/10 (BetMGM) | £27.00 |
| Benjamin Sesko Over 0.5 Shots on Target | 2/5 (BetMGM) | £14.00 |
| Under 4.5 Cards | 8/15 (BetMGM) | £15.33 |
| 4.86/1 (BetMGM) | £58.60 |
Bet 1: Man United to Win to Nil
Leeds head into Monday’s game on the back of a thrilling FA Cup win over West Ham, but when it comes to their Premier League form, there's certainly nothing thrilling about it.
Simply speaking, the Whites have completely stopped scoring. Their last four games in the league are made up of two goalless draws against Brentford and Palace, as well as a couple of 1-0 defeats to Sunderland and Man City.
Man United, meanwhile, have won their last five home games at Old Trafford, scoring 12 goals along the way. With Leeds struggling to locate the net and the Red Devils flying, I’m backing the hosts to win to nil.
Bet 2: Benjamin Sesko Over 0.5 Shots on Target
One Man United player who is really beginning to find his feet is Benjamin Sesko. The Slovenian has found the back of the net in five of his last eight matches – most of them while coming off the bench.
Sesko has produced 13 shots on target across his last six home games, turning four of them into goals. Keeping all that in mind, I have no choice but to include Sesko in the acca and back him to land a shot on target.
Bet 3: Under 4.5 Total Cards
When it comes to discipline, both Man United and Leeds are among the five best clubs in the Premier League. The Whites have seen 50 bookings this season, while the Red Devils are on 49. In fact, only Aston Villa (48) and Arsenal (40) have done better.
On top of that, we feel like the rivalry between Man United and Leeds is a lot more explosive in the stands than it is on the pitch. All three previous meetings have seen under 4.5 bookings, while their most recent head-to-head produced just one yellow card. Feisty fixture? You must be having a laugh.
I’m sticking with the under 4.5 total cards market as the final selection of our treble.
