We have based our picks on data from the season so far. Should our three bets all come in then a £10 wager at Parimatch, one of the UK's best bookmakers, would see you get a payout of £68.43. We will now look at each match in detail.

Chelsea vs Bournemouth: Chelsea to Win & Over 2.5 Goals

It says a lot about the way the first half of the season has gone that Chelsea are in fifth place despite their recent inconsistencies. Their last five matches have seen only one victory and two defeats. Bournemouth have dropped down the table during November and December, with only one win in their last 10 matches.

Kickform are backing Chelsea to get the win, and we agree. They will have too much for the Cherries. We think that there will be goals though, with Bournemouth conceding three at Sunderland, four at Manchester United and four at Brentford in recent weeks. 61% of both teams’ matches have featured three goals or more. This figure rises to 89% for Bournemouth’s away fixtures. So, to kick off the treble we are going for a home win with over 2.5 goals.

Nottingham Forest vs Everton – Under 2.5 Goals

Given the time of year, comparisons with Scrooge feel appropriate. 67% of Everton’s matches have seen less than three goals with 78% of their away matches producing under 2.5 goals. In nine away fixtures, the Toffees have scored a paltry seven goals but have only conceded 10. To put a more positive spin on Everton’s stats, only three teams have more clean sheets this season with David Moyes’ side achieving seven shutouts. Their hosts, Nottingham Forest, have only scored 12 in nine games at the City Ground this season.

Kickform are predicting a low-scoring encounter. They are giving a 63% chance of under 2.5 goals, a 59% chance of BTTS: No and have their three most likely results as 1-0, 0-1 and 1-1. We definitely think that goals will be at a premium and are going for under 2.5 goals as the second leg of our treble.

West Ham United vs Brighton & Hove Albion – BTTS: Yes & Over 2.5 Goals

West Ham have three defeats on the spin, making it one win and four losses in their last eight. Brighton have lost three and drawn two in their last five.

56% of West Ham’s matches and 67% of Brighton’s games have seen both teams find the net. 61% of the Hammers’ games and 56% of Albion’s fixtures have seen three or more goals. This rises to 67% for West Ham home games. West Ham have only managed one clean sheet all season with Brighton only keeping the opposition out four times. We predict goals at both ends and at least three of them.
