Burton Albion vs West Ham United Odds: Over 2.5 Goals
Having disposed of Boreham Wood in the third round, Burton Albion, fourth bottom of League One, host the Premier League’s third bottom side West Ham United. A month ago, despite Burton’s poor league position, we may have seen this as a potential upset given the Hammers’ disastrous campaign. However, since getting past London rivals QPR in the third round, Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have turned a corner and have given themselves a real chance of avoiding relegation.
Both sides will prioritise staying in their respective divisions, so there could well be a few players rotated. However, we are confident of goals. Our Kickform stats show that 60% of Burton’s League One matches have seen over 2.5 goals, while 65% of West Ham’s Premier League games have seen three or more goals. Burton have kept seven clean sheets and have averaged 1.10 goals per game in the league while West Ham have only had two shutouts all season and have averaged 1.23 goals per game. However, in their last six in all competitions West Ham have scored 12 goals. We think that there will be at least three goals in this one.
Manchester City vs Salford City Betting Prediction: Over 3.5 Goals
Manchester City host Salford City, a club from the very heartland of their bitter rivals Manchester United. The third round saw City smash 10 past League One Exeter. And while we are not necessarily expecting a repeat performance, we expect them to have far too much for Salford and to win at a canter. Pep Guardiola’s side may be finding their best form again after winning at Anfield and hitting three past Fulham. We are going for over 3.5 goals for the second leg of our Parimatch acca.
Norwich City vs West Bromwich Albion Betting Tips: Mohamed Toure Anytime Goalscorer
Both sides are at the wrong end of the Championship; however, it is Norwich who look like they are getting their act together. Staying in the Championship will be a greater priority than FA Cup progress for both teams, but Norwich have a little more breathing space and may be more likely to put out a strong side. City have four wins from their last five compared to West Brom’s three draws and two defeats.
Part of the reason for City’s turnaround has been the impact made by new signing Mohamed Toure. The Australian international came off the bench to score on his debut against Blackburn Rovers last weekend and followed that up with a midweek hat-trick at Oxford United. Prior to the Blackburn match, Toure had not played since early December. So, we expect Phillipe Clement to give him at least a half against the Baggies to increase his match fitness, and we back him to get on the scoresheet once more.
Aston Villa vs Newcastle United Betting Odds: Over 10.5 Corners
It took a late winner to give Villa the three points in midweek against Brighton, while Newcastle United turned in an impressive performance against an admittedly poor Tottenham to get their third away win of the Premier League season.
While the Magpies have had a disappointing season, they are the corner kings of the Premier League. Our Kickform stats show that they have won 6.96 corners per game. Villa have won a highly respectable 5.35 corners per match. 62% of Newcastle’s matches and 50% of Villa’s have seen eleven or more corners. In their midweek win at Spurs there were 14 flag kicks, with Newcastle winning 12 of those. We are confident of 11 plus corners on Saturday.
