Let’s have a look at each stage of our terrific treble.
Coventry City vs Millwall – Coventry to Win & Under 2.5 Goals
Coventry are six points clear at the top. The last month or so has seen Frank Lampard’s side stutter by their own high standards. Their last 10 league matches have seen four wins, three losses and three draws, plus an FA Cup exit at the hands of Stoke City.
Millwall are fourth in the table with three wins in their last five Championship matches. Over the season they have only scored 14 in 13 away games, winning five and losing three. We anticipate a tight, competitive match, but City have only dropped points in three out of 10 home matches. Kickform give a 68% chance of a home win, which is what we are going for.
Coventry have scored 59 goals in 27 matches this season, but their recent run has seen six of their last 10 games produce less than three goals. Millwall’s last 10 has also seen six games where under 2.5 goals has come up. 56% of Millwall’s fixtures over the season have seen less than three goals and away from home this goes up to 62%. So, for the first leg of our treble we are backing Coventry to win and under 2.5 goals.
Swansea City vs Blackburn Rovers – Under 2.5 Goals
We are predicting another low-scoring match for the second wager in our 10bet treble. Swansea are stuck in 16th spot, while Blackburn are five points behind in 20th, only a point above the relegation zone. Both sides have reasonable defensive records; the two teams have kept seven clean sheets, a total only bettered by seven others. However, they have both been held back by a lack of goals scored.
Our Kickform stats show that Swansea have only averaged 1.04 goals per game, with Rovers only managing an average of 0.92. 56% of Swansea’s fixtures and 59% of Blackburn’s have seen less than 2.5 goals. This rises to 57% for Swansea’s home matches and 62% for Blackburn’s games away from Ewood Park. Kickform have the three most likely results as 1-0, 0-1 and 1-1. They give a 65% chance of under 2.5 goals. We think that 8/13 at 10bet represents decent value.
Wrexham vs Leicester City – BTTS: Yes & Over 2.5 Goals
Unlike the first two matches, we are expecting goals in this one. Wrexham have found their feet in the Championship of late, with four wins from five. Leicester are three points behind in 13th.
Looking at our Kickform statistics, both teams have scored in 67% of Wrexham’s matches, and in 78% of Leicester’s. These figures both move to 79% when we only include Wrexham’s home games and the Foxes’ away fixtures. 57% of Wrexham’s home games have seen over 2.5 goals, while 79% of City’s away matches have produced three goals or more. In addition, Leicester have only managed three clean sheets all season, while Wrexham have scored 25 goals in 14 home games. We are backing there to be over 2.5 goals and for there to be goals at both ends.
