We are banking on a real mixture of results on Tuesday. A home win, an away success and a play in the total goals market mix things up nicely for us with William Hill the place to go, one of the best football betting sites around, offering better than 9/2 for the treble.

Bet 1: Bournemouth vs Everton – Over 2.5 Goals 19/20

Bournemouth must have thought they had things wrapped up early at Sunderland over the weekend, the Cherries going 2-0 up within 15 minutes. A defensive capitulation, however, led to a 3-2 defeat and it’s a pattern that will be concerning manager Andoni Iraola.

That’s 12 goals conceded by Bournemouth in their last four league games, something we can take advantage of.

Everton were also frail at the back on Saturday, but in their case, they never looked like beating Newcastle at the Hill Dickinson Stadium. They were torn apart by a brutally clinical first-half performance and found themselves 4-0 down within the hour.

Everton boss David Moyes prefers to keep things tight, but Bournemouth’s six home league games and Everton’s six away league games together average 2.33 goals per game, and it’s a stat that is escalating. It certainly brings the overs market into play.

With not too long between games to fix what is broken, over 2.5 total goals looks like a safe play on current form.

Bet 2: Fulham vs Man City – City to Win 13/20

If not for some (alleged) skullduggery from Pep Guardiola’s men, Man City could have been on the end of a humbling defeat on Saturday. From 2-0 up against Leeds, they found themselves at 2-2 and under the pump somewhat before goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma hit the deck for treatment, allowing an impromptu City team meeting.

Having rallied following their timely rest, Phil Foden’s late strike secured a 3-2 win, and that will add some much-needed confidence. We’re playing on that factor here.

The stats tell us that City are half the team on the road that they are at the Etihad. Six Premier League away games so far have yielded just 7 points.

Fulham have managed 13 points at home but haven’t faced the same level of opposition at Craven Cottage that City have away and we must keep things in perspective. City lost a tight game at Newcastle recently, made ten changes when surrendering to Leverkusen and won a high-scoring game on Saturday.

Their possession football could starve Fulham of chances, and the visitors certainly have the quality to land a crucial win on their travels.

Bet 3: Newcastle vs Tottenham – Newcastle to Win 8/11

Before their 4-1 weekend win at Everton, you’d be right to separate Newcastle’s Premier League season entirely by home and away form. As well as increasing confidence, their latest performance will have encouraged Eddie Howe to keep more players rested given that young Lewis Miley proved to be a very able replacement for the benched Sandro Tonali.

The Italian maestro is likely to come back in from the start on Tuesday night, and with marauding full-backs Tino Livramento and Lewis Hall now starting games the talent pool is increasing.

The Toon have racked up 12 points from six home games. More to the point, they are improving having lost narrowly early in the season to Liverpool and Arsenal. They’ve beaten Man City recently and crucially, have a striker in rare form in the shape of Nick Woltemade.

For their part, Spurs are statistically the third-best away team in the league with 13 points. They beat Man City away early doors, but were taken apart in the North London Derby and, despite a spirited performance, shipped another five goals at PSG in the Champions League just last week.

There could be plenty of goals in this game and the total goals market was a consideration. But, given the relative strength of the respective squads considering Tottenham’s crippling injury list, a home win looks the most likely outcome and can be backed.
