Bet 1: Barcelona (1) vs (1) Newcastle – Joelinton Over 1.5 Fouls

Newcastle were perhaps a little unlucky not to take a lead into the Camp Nou on Wednesday night, after conceding a 90th-minute penalty to deny them a famous win at St James’ Park. But they’ll take pride in their performance and are still very much alive in this tie.

They will, however, have to be at their absolute best defensively to progress. In the first game, Joelinton and Lewis Hall did a fantastic job of nullifying Lamine Yamal down the right side, often taking a more physical approach against the teenager, who drew three fouls.

Joelinton’s foul stats have been aggressively impressive. He’s committed 14 in seven Champions League games this season, and six in his last two starts. Priced at 8/13 to make two or more on Wednesday is on the skinny side, but there’s just enough value to get involved for our first pick in a game where Newcastle will look to be aggressive, led by the Brazilian.

Bet 2: Liverpool (0) vs (1) Galatasaray – Liverpool to Win and BTTS

Liverpool are going to have to do things the hard way if they want to progress to the quarter-final stage. They were utterly toothless in the first leg against Galatasaray, losing 1-0, and in hindsight, a scoreline they were probably quite relieved with after 90 minutes.

The Turkish side are becoming a bit of a bogey team for The Reds, beating Liverpool in each of their last four head -to-heads. But, Arne Slot’s side still head into Wednesday’s game as firm 1/4 favourites to win, and while we think that’s way too short to get involved with, we do like Liverpool to win and both teams to score at 13/8.

At home, Liverpool have lost just once in this season's Champions League, chalking up victories over Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid and Qarabag, scoring 11 in four games. Galatasaray have been poor on the road, losing four from five games, but they always have a goal threat with the likes of Victor Osimhen on the pitch. Liverpool generally find a way in the big games, and while it might be a rocky road in, they should have enough to get it done here, even if they concede.

Bet 3: Tottenham (2) vs (5) Atletico Madrid – Jan Oblak Over 2.5 Saves

Tottenham have a mountain to climb if they are to reach the next round. A 5-2 demolition job in Madrid did nothing to help the cause of new boss Igor Tudor, and there’s some comfort in the fact that if they were to be knocked out, all efforts would go into saving their Premier League status, which must be the priority for the club.

They showed a lot of heart to salvage a point at Liverpool over the weekend. A switch to 4-4-2 shored up a leaky back line and gave them more control in the middle of the park. In the end, they were good for their 1-1 draw.

Could that spark something for Spurs? Definitely, but overturning a three-goal headstart against Atletico will be a tough ask. We don’t hate taking Spurs to win this at 6/4, but instead we’re moving to the goalkeeper saves market for this match, purely for security.

This will be the third time Atletico have travelled to England this campaign, losing to both Arsenal and Liverpool. In each of those games, Jan Oblak has been kept busy, picking the ball out of his net on seven separate occasions. In fact, Madrid have conceded 20 goals in their 10 games, highlighting some major flaws defensively, which is uncharacteristic of a Diego Simeone side.

Oblak has made three or more saves in eight of those ten games. He could be busy again on Wednesday as Spurs have to push for the win, and at 8/13 for over 2.5 saves, he's a strong addition to our acca for the night.
