Wednesday’s Premier League Acca Tips – Success for Palace on the Road?

We expect things to be tight at Brighton v Villa as well as between Wolves and Forest. Little value was found there, but the other four Premier League matches do offer us some betting worth. Together, they form a four-fold of just a shade over 12/1 with one of our best betting sites, BetMGM, being by far the standout on this one.

Bet 1: Arsenal vs Brentford – Anytime goalscorer: Eberechi Eze 21/10

According to the Kickform stats, Arsenal don’t quite have as outstanding a chance here as their general price of 4/11 would suggest. They remain the most likely winners, there’s no doubt about that, but it’s time to look elsewhere for value.

The Gunners don’t have a Haaland type, that focal point who almost guarantees goals. What they do have is a player with the most goal involvements for them, and that is former Crystal Palace man Eberechi Eze.

The England forward has six involvements so far – four goals and 2 assists. Those stats were boosted hugely by his hat-trick against Spurs last month, but that’s the point – he’s improving and settling into his role as someone who is a goalscoring and goal-making attacker for a title-chasing club. He’s available at 21/10 to score at any time in the game.

Bet 2: Burnley vs Crystal Palace – Palace to Win 4/5

Again, this selection is partly based on trajectory. Crystal Palace kept only a single clean sheet in their first 12 away league games under Oliver Glasner but have since kept 10 in 19 on their travels. They have a solid base.

Getting a negative out of the way – Palace have won one in three including a defeat at the weekend. They are consistent, however. They lost 2-1 away in Europe and by the same scoreline against Man United, not disastrous results.

They do usually put bad opposition away having beaten Wolves 2-0, Alkmaar 3-1 and beleaguered Liverpool 3-0 away in the Carabao Cup, all since late October.

Home side Burnley have now conceded 12 goals in their last five games, sitting 19th in the league. Palace will be the more professional outfit, can wait for their chances if they need to with that solid defence, and in Jean-Philippe Mateta have easily the best attacking option on the pitch. Away win.

Bet 3: Leeds vs Chelsea – Both Teams to Score 8/11

We’re going with “yes” in the Both Teams to Score market here. Now it’s true, Leeds have only 13 goals in 13 games in the Premier League and are in the relegation zone. They are also playing potential title challengers here. For their part, Chelsea have conceded only five goals in 6 away games. Hear us out on this one.

Leeds start quickly and can catch teams out. Five of their 7 home league goals have come in the first half. They are more clinical in the first 45 minutes and amid a potentially raucous atmosphere, they will be spurred on from the beginning.

As well as this, they were good at Man City as recently as Saturday, battling longer into the game and scoring two second half goals. Chelsea meanwhile were playing out a draining top of the table clash with Arsenal.

The Blues have 14 away goals in just six games, while their potentially tired or altered defence could come unstuck at Elland Road. As long as both sides get on the scoresheet, then it’s job done.

Bet 4: Liverpool vs Sunderland – Liverpool to Win 7/20

Sunderland currently sit above Liverpool in the league, one point and four goals better off. Many then will not be willing to take prices like the widely available 1/3 for the home side, but we decided to dig deeper to see if that’s fair.

Despite their troubles, the Reds still have the 7th best xG in the league. Sunderland are 19th of 20 on that score and sit 8th for expected goals against. That’s actually quite a potent mix of betting ingredients.

The Black Cats have battled hard in defence. Despite that, since October they’ve lost 2-0 at Man United and 1-0 at Fulham as well as managing an impressive 2-1 success at Chelsea.

Their result at Stamford Bridge did smack of being a bit of a one-off. They made a rousing comeback against Bournemouth at home on Saturday to win 3-2 from 2-0 down, but this is another step up and it’s all going to catch up with them you’d feel.

The Kickform stats come closer to agreeing with the 1X2 odds on this one and now, with striker Alexander Isak finally on the scoresheet in the Premier League, Arne Slot’s men can kick on. A home win is most likely.
