England take on Pakistan at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium on Tuesday, 24th February, in the second Super 8s game. The markets are open, and our betting tips are live, with a bet builder paying a cool £55 from just a £10 bet.

Phil Salt celebrating scoring a century for England
Phil Salt is batting for England and is tipped to score 20+ runs against Pakistan

It’s been a strange tournament so far for Brendan McCullum’s side, who have yet to really get going in what looks like a close-run edition of the 2026 T20 World Cup. They made life difficult for themselves once again on Sunday, stumbling to 146/9 with the bat, before eventually bowling Sri Lanka out for 95.

Pakistan should, on paper at least, prove to be their toughest game so far. The Men in Green had their game against New Zealand washed out without a ball being bowled, meaning an England win would guarantee their spot in the semi-finals.

Bet 1: Match Result – England to Win

England and Pakistan’s route to the Super 8s has been remarkably similar and not in a good way. There are two talented teams here when firing on all cylinders, but neither has shown anywhere close to full potential.

Pakistan were soundly beaten by India in the grudge match with their neighbours, but scraped past the Netherlands and were pushed by the USA, before cruising past Namibia. The washout against New Zealand means it’s not all that easy to gauge where they are right now, but regardless of their form, they’re a team that, on their day, can beat anyone.

That said, England have a great T20I record against them, winning each of the last five head-to-heads (two no results in that period) and destroying them in the 2022 T20 World Cup final at the MCG, Melbourne.

There’s too much talent in the side not to click at some point, and Tuesday could be the day. Odds of 4/6 for an England win with the best cricket betting sites are enticing enough to get involved here and kick off our England vs Pakistan T20 World Cup bet builder tips.

Bet 2: Phil Salt to Score 20+ Runs

Phil Salt batted beautifully last time out against Sri Lanka, scoring 62 at the top of the order in an innings that proved to be pivotal to securing the win. He’s had a fairly subdued tournament so far, but then, he’s not the only one in the side to have been off the pace a little.

Peaking at the right time? Quite possibly, and if England are to beat Pakistan, they know they need to improve their form with the bat. He’s 4/6 to score 20+ runs, and given that he’s got a good record against Pakistan, he’s our value pick from the England batting line-up to score 20+ runs.

Bet 3: Sahibzada Farhan to Score 20+ Runs

We’re sticking to the batter milestones for our third pick and this time, turning our attention to the in-form Sahibzada Farhan. He’s currently the leading run scorer in the competition, bolstered by a brutal century against Namibia. However, even if you removed that hundred, he would have still scored more runs than the next best for Pakistan and is an integral part of the team at the top of the order.

It’ll be Farhan’s first time facing England, but the slower, more true tracks in Sri Lanka certainly play into his batting style, and he’s devastating against spin. Like Salt, he’s priced 4/6 to get 20+ runs, and we feel this is another strong pick as part of the bet builder.

Bet 4: Jamie Overton to Take 1+ Wickets

Jamie Overton’s form so far in the T20 World Cup has been superb. All the talk pre-tournament was about the inclusion of Jofra Archer and the headline spinner, Adil Rashid, but it’s been Overton who has quietly gone about his business and reaped the rewards.

The seamer has taken seven wickets in four games at an average of 12.42. He also has the best economy of any of the England bowlers at just 6.21 and, interestingly, is the only player in the side to have bowled a maiden so far.

Harry Brook is starting to invest his trust in him in the middle overs and at the death to bring some control, and we’re backing him to keep his fine form going. He’s priced 4/9 to take 1+ wickets, making up the final part of our England vs Pakistan T20 World Cup betting tips.
