Ollie Watkins to Score Any Time vs Newcastle – 6/5

Ironically, there have been murmurs about Ollie Watkins moving to Newcastle in the summer transfer window. All the speculation around Alexander Isak’s potential move to Liverpool has had the Magpies linked with every man and his dog, but talks have cooled and he’s now almost certainly staying at Villa Park.

What you get with Watkins is repeatability. Last season, he averaged 0.49 goals/90, 0.48 non-pen xG/90 and 3.1 shots/90. These are elite non-penalty football stats and a reason why he’s always good value with the anytime goalscorer market.

Newcastle’s defence wasn’t impermeable, either. They conceded 47 times at 1.24 per game. But here’s the kicker, this number jumps to 1.45 per game away from home, highlighting their struggles on the road.

Tie all this into the fact that 10 of Watkins’ 16 goals last season were scored at Villa Park, and odds of 6/5 (45.5% implied probability) start to look outstanding value.

Jonathan Askew – Use bet365 Sub On Play On

Anytime I’m betting on player markets like Anytime Goalscorer or Player to be Booked, I always use bookies that have a sub on, play on feature. This means that if I back Haaland to score, and he gets substituted without netting, the bet rolls over to whoever replaces him. My go-to bookie for this? That would have to be bet365.

Cole Palmer to Score Any Time vs Crystal Palace – 21/20

Few would argue that Cole Palmer is now one of the best players in the Premier League. His all-round performances have led a rejuvenated Chelsea to Conference League and Club World Cup glory.

He flew out of the traps in 2024/25, with 14 goals and seven assists in his first 21 games. Over the course of the season, he posted 0.42 goals per 90, with 0.49 xG. In layman’s terms, around a goal every other game.

Palace are no mugs defensively. They conceded 51 goals last season (mid-table defence) and have managed to retain skipper Marc Geuhi, which is huge.

But they looked vulnerable on the break in the Community Shield win over Liverpool, and this is exactly where Palmer will revel. He had 202 shot-creating actions (5.70 SCA90) against similar mid-table foes, so these are the types of games that should suit.

Odds of 21/20 to score anytime look about right based on numbers alone, but factor in home advantage and the need to get off to a quick start this season, and there’s just enough meat on the bone to get involved here.

Erling Haaland to Score Any Time vs Wolves – 4/6

Erling Haaland had a subdued season based on his high standards, scoring “only” 22 goals in 31 games with an output of 0.72 goals/90. City were lacklustre as a group, and Guardiola went trophy-less for the first time in his tenure at the club.

The reality is that Haaland is still world-class. His output of 22 goals from 55 shots on target was up there with the best in the league, and his average shot distance of 12.3 highlighted how much of a threat he is in and around the penalty area.

Wolves could be a team in trouble this season. Matteus Cunha’s exit to the red side of Manchester leaves them light up top, and a lack of incomings to shore up one of the league's worst defences (69 goals conceded at 1.82 per game) means it could be a long season.

City will dominate possession and feast on Wolves’ 14.5 shots allowed per game. The biggest benefactor of this will, of course, be Haaland. He’s odds on at 4/6 to score, but given the opposition, this looks way too long and makes up the final part of our Premier League anytime goalscorer acca bet.
