Norwich City vs Blackburn Rovers: Yuki Ohashi Over 0.5 Shots on Target
It has been a dire season in front of goal for managerless Blackburn Rovers. Our Kickform stats show that they have averaged 0.90 goals per game, with only rock-bottom Sheffield Wednesday having a worse strike-rate in the division. Rovers striker Yuki Ohasi has a mediocre total of six goals from 27 starts. However, he is consistently testing goalkeepers. He has reeled off 67 attempts on goal this season, with 25 on target. This gives him an average of 0.96 shots on target per 90 minutes. Against Norwich, who have shipped 42 goals this season, we are backing him to have at least one effort on target.
Hull City vs Bristol Rovers: Hull to Win & Over 2.5 Goals
Hull have climbed the table in recent weeks to mount a genuine promotion challenge. The Tigers have won four from their last five and are third in the table, four points behind leaders Coventry and second-placed Middlesbrough. Bristol City have three losses and a draw from their last five. This disappointing run of form has seen them drop out of the playoff positions.
Hull have scored an impressive 48 goals this season but have conceded 40. Bristol City shipped five last time out in a big home loss to Derby County. The reverse fixture saw the Robins triumph 4-2. We are expecting goals again, but we are also expecting Hull to come out on top. Kickform give the home side a 49% chance of victory, so we are going for a win for Hull with more than 2.5 goals.
Preston North End vs Portsmouth: Under 2.5 Goals
Preston are in touch with the race for the playoffs but have only scored 37 goals this season, the joint lowest total in the top half. Portsmouth are only a point above the relegation zone despite a decent defensive record. They have only scored 27 goals in 28 league matches this season. 57% of Preston’s matches have had less than three goals this season, while 59% of Portsmouth’s games have produced less than 2.5 goals.
Pompey travel north in better form than the higher placed home side having won two and drawn two of their last five. Preston have drawn one and lost three of their last five matches. We think that this will be a low scoring encounter where theodd goal may be just enough to win it. We are going for under 2.5 goals in the last leg of our SBK acca.
