Now, let’s look at the four bets a little closer to see why we think that they will come home.
Scotland vs Greece: Scott McTominay to Score or Assist (2/1)
Allowing Scott McTominay to leave for Napoli is just one of many questionable decisions made by Manchester United in recent seasons. The midfielder enjoyed a fantastic campaign last season, with 12 goals and four assists in Serie A, and was even talked about as an outside bet for the Ballon d'Or.
McTominay scored the winner when the two sides met in the Nations League in March and has regularly stepped up as a difference-maker for his country. We think that 2/1 are great odds for the midfielder to have a direct goal involvement on Thursday. And with bet365’s Sub on Play On, one of the best value free bets or promotions out there, it means that if McTominay is subbed before bagging a goal or an assist that the bet stays alive as it carries on to his replacement.
Finland vs Lithuania Over 1.5 Goals (1/3)
The last six matches for Finland have averaged 2.5 goals per game, while Lithuania’s last six have averaged 2.8. The two sides drew 2-2 in their last meeting in March. The spread of the goals has not been even, so we are not confident about going for over 2.5, but we feel that 1/3 represents a fair price for over 1.5 goals. We feel that there will be at least two goals in this one, quite possibly in a 1-1 draw.
Cyprus vs Bosnia-Herzegovina Under 3.5 Goals (2/7)
There have been under 3.5 goals in four out of five of both sides' last five competitive matches. We think that 2/7 is still a fairly generous price and a solid addition to our acca.
Faroe Islands vs Montenegro Over 10 Corners
We’re focussing on the corner count for this one and, looking at the stats, there have been over 9.5 corners in all but one of each team’s last five competitive games. Over 10 corners is priced at 6/4, which is an implied probability of 40%. The chances of this coming up based on stats are closer to 80% which is why we feel that this bet is fantastic value.
