Jeffbet Sportsbook Review Summary – ThePuntersPage Verdict

3.9/5

Our Jeffbet review has discovered that they are a solid all-round operator who, since going online in 2022, have started to challenge the leading UK online bookies. Jeffbet have over 40 sports to bet on, covering the popular and the more niche, good depth to their markets, interesting promos and competitive odds. Their overround being consistently under 108% across a range of sports, which is more than decent value. They have a sound live betting platform, a dedicated horse racing section and a great bet builder which is available for several sports. To improve Jeffbet could tidy their website up a little and look into launching a betting app. Overall they offer a great service for a relatively new bookie and there is plenty of scope for further development. Read on to discover more.

Online since 2022, Jeffbet are a relative newcomer to the British sports betting scene. We are pleased to report that they have proved to be a reliable operator who are fully legit. Jeffbet are operated by ProgressPlay Limited and hold a licence from the UKGC under account number 39335 along with a licence from the Malta Gaming Authority, licence number MGA/B2C/231/2012.

Our Jeffbet review found that the operator uses 128-bit SSL encryption and that data is stored on secure servers with restricted access. This means that your personal information and finances are protected.

Jeffbet have a responsible gambling section, which you can find at the bottom of the page under “Play Responsibly”. In there the bookie stress the importance of using gambling as a form of recreation. They provide information on limits, encouraging bettors to set personal limits and they have information on Time-Out and Self-Exclusion. There are links to Gamstop and further links to other outside agencies. There is also information on underage gaming, stating that gambling is prohibited for under 18s.

Is Jeffbet Legit?

Chris Sampson: Jeffbet are fully licenced and regulated by the UK Gambling Commission. This means that they have to stick to strict standards in terms of security, fairness and player safety. You can be sure that your data and funds are safe. The bookie have a solid responsible gambling section, though we feel it could be displayed more prominently.

4.5/5
Pros:

Cons:
  • Promo code box when no promo code is required is confusing

The bookie also provides plenty of information on how they protect your financial data, all of which is reassuring as you know that they are fulfilling their responsibilities and they are transparent about security measures. Jeffbet Sign-Up Offer

Pros:
  • 300% of initial stake as a free bet
  • Only £10 needed to unlock offer
  • Free bets can be used anywhere on sportsbook.
Cons:
  • 1x wagering requirement on winnings from free bet
  • £30 in bonuses comes as one bet token
screenshot of jeffbet's sports welcome offer
Jeffbet's “Bet £10 & Get a £30 Free Bet” sports welcome offer

The Jeffbet welcome offer provides new customers with a £30 free bet when they deposit and wager £10. There is no Jeffbet promo code, simply sign-up, deposit and make the qualifying bet.

The initial wager must be £10 or more on any sports market, and no minimum odds are mentioned, which is more flexible than many competitors. The bonus comes in the form of a £30 free bet. Unlike bet365 and Coral who split their free bets, Jeffbet’s bonus comes as a single bonus bet, giving you less chance to explore the site. The minimum odds for the free bet are set at 1.5 and you can use it on any sports market.

This is where you need to be aware of the T&Cs. If you’re free bet wins then your winnings are subject to 1x wagering requirements, which mean you must bet that amount once before your winnings from the free bet are transferred to your real money account (maximum conversion amount of £200).

The Jeffbet sign-up offer is good value if you intend to be a regular bettor with this bookie and hit the wagering requirement on your bonus winnings without changing your betting strategy. The freedom given on the qualifying bet and on the use of the free bet is greater than many competitors and you get 300% of your initial wager in free bets. If you make your deposit with Skrill or Neteller then you will be ineligible for the Jeffbet new customer offer. In order to compare the Jeffbet new customer offer with others check out our guide to sign-up offers.

Jeffbet Sign-up Offer: 300% of initial stake in bonuses but check T&Cs

Chris Sampson: Jeffbet have one of the better welcome offers available to UK punters. £30 in free bets for an initial stake of a tenner is decent value. As is the lack of restriction on markets for both your first bet and your bonus bet. However, any winnings from your bonus are subject to wagering requirements. So, you need to assess whether this fits with your betting style and your bankroll strategy in order to decide whether this is a welcome offer you can truly benefit from. At bet365 you get £30 from a £10 bet in the from of three £10 bet tokens. At Coral a £5 free bet unlocks four free bets totalling £20. Both of these offers have more than reasonable qualifying odds, very few restrictions and no wagering requirements.

Jeffbet Other Promotions

Pros:
  • Range of promos across various sports
  • Regular cashback offers
  • Acca boost
Cons:
  • 10x wagering requirement on casino welcome offer
screenshot of jeffbet sports promotions page
Jeffbet's sportsbook promotions page

Our Jeffbet betting review found that promotions are a strength of this operator. There are a number of existing customer offers which provide interest and give you the chance to find more value.

The bookie has regular cashback offers. In this case they select a Premier League fixture and give you the chance to get £10 cashback on your losses (up to £500). Simply deposit and place £10 or more on the fixture with the Jeffbet promo code EPLC to benefit from this.

Jeffbet continue their cashback theme with prominent events throughout the year. At the time of writing there is a weekly 10% cashback offer on snooker for the World Snooker Championship. Again, once you enter the Jeffbet promo code and place your bet of £10 or more you get 10% of your losses back up to £500. There are similar offers for the UEFA Champions League semi-finals and for the NHL Stanley Cup playoffs, with 15% available on losses up to £250.

Jeffbet’s Acca Super Boost promotion allows you to boost your winnings up to 100%. Simply place a minimum 3-fold multiple with minimum odds of 1.5 per selection. If you win you will get your winnings boosted. A treble gets you a 3% boost, 4-fold gets you 5%, progressing to 100% for 20 legs or more.

Jeffbet’s First Past the Post horse racing promotion means that if you back a horse to win and it crosses the line first you get paid out as a winner, even if there are post-result changes.

Another offer for racing fans, the Extra Places promo is applied to selected races where the bookie gives out an additional place beyond the standard terms for each-way bets. The number of places Jeffbet are paying is clearly indicated at the top of the market and only races which have a + sign next to them are included in this offer.

The Jeffbet new customer offer for casino players comes in the form of a welcome bonus up to 100% plus free spins. Our Jeffbet casino review found that for a minimum deposit of £10 you get a 100% bonus (up to £100) plus 50 free spins on Rainbow Riches Megaways. This is a decent value alternative to the sports sign-up offer. You must be aware that the bonus amount and any winnings from the free spins are subject to wagering requirements (x10). While these wagering requirements are something you must be aware of, they are lower than a lot of casino welcome offers at UK gambling platforms.

Jeffbet VIP and Loyalty Programme

Our Jeffbet review discovered that they have a rewards programme in place. Basically, punters can win prizes and rewards the more they play. Once you are a member you simply start playing, earn points and progress through the system. There are levels and badges to earn, and you can take on missions to earn points through completing specific tasks. You can use your points in the rewards store and your position on the leaderboard can put you in line to win prizes. When we contacted customer support, we were told that the rewards programme applies to both sports betting and casino. However, many of the missions and reports seem to be linked to the casino side of things rather than the sportsbook.

Jeffbet have a good range of payment methods available. They are one of the few UK bookmakers to offer PayviaPhone for deposits, though you need to be aware that there is a 15% processing fee for this option. Deposits start at £10, which is standard for the industry. In line with other UK bookies the closed loop system for withdrawals mean that you have to withdraw with the same method you deposited with until you have balanced the books. So, if you deposit £50 with Visa and then want to withdraw £100, £50 must go to your Visa before you can choose another withdrawal method. For more information on payment methods check out our guide.

How to Deposit Funds to Jeffbet – My Experience

Depositing at Jeffbet is a straightforward process. When depositing it is important to note that deposits with Skrill and Neteller will render you ineligible for the Jeffbet new customer bonus and that PayviaPhone has a 15% service charge. We have outlined the steps needed to deposit with Jeffbet.

How to Withdraw Funds from Jeffbet – My Experience

Withdrawing from Jeffbet is also straightforward. The Jeffbet withdrawal time is three to seven business days for most methods, though one business day is stated for instant bank transfer, Neteller and Skrill. We have put together a step-by-step guide to help you through. For further details on withdrawal speed check out our guide to fast withdrawal betting sites.

Chris Sampson: Jeffbet have a decent choice of payment methods. The Jeffbet withdrawal time compares well with many UK bookies but falls short of the fastest.

Jeffbet Sports Coverage

4.0/5
Pros:
  • Over 40 sports to bet on
  • Great depth of markets for popular sports and big events
  • Both popular sports and niche sports covered
Cons:
  • Less TV and specials markets than some competitors
  • Limited live streaming
screenshot of jeffbet sportsbook main page
Jeffbet's main sportsbook page

Jeffbet cover a broad range of sports. Their sportsbook, naturally, has odds for the most popular sports among bettors but crucially delivers better than many of their rivals in terms of niche sports. As well as football, horse and greyhound racing (found in a separate racing section), basketball, American football, cricket, darts, golf, rugby union, rugby league and tennis the bookie cover chess, biathlon, floorball and surfing. A strength of this operator is their coverage of esports, which is up there with the best in the UK.

There are no minimum and maximum stakes at Jeffbet. The operator states that these limits vary by sport, league, event and market and are at the discretion of the bookmaker. The stake must be approved on the betslip. Odds can be displayed in a variety of formats including fractional, decimal, American and Hong Kong.

Jeffbet have a huge range of leagues and competitions to bet on. The biggest matches in competitions, such as the UEFA Champions League, the Premier League and Europe’s other top leagues, have a huge number of markets for each fixture, including player props. The depth of markets does not drop off as quickly as with some UK operators. There are still outrights available for many lower leagues and the are still player props in, for example, the French second tier. In England you can bet on matches in the Northern Premier League and the Southern League, the seventh tier of English football. You can bet on leagues around the world including the Fastex Premier League in Armenia.

Jeffbet have a racing section where you can find both horse racing and greyhound racing. As well as UK and Irish meetings the bookie covers horse racing from around the world, including the US and South Africa. You can get winner, forecast and tricast markets and the odds are competitive. There is also a separate section for ante post bets. There are some useful horse racing promos including extra places in selected races for each-way bets and First Past The Post. Unfortunately, there is no Best Odds Guaranteed and no Non-Runner No Bet Insurance. The bookie has no live streaming for horse racing, which is a feature available at many leading UK horse racing bookmakers.

Tennis is now a hugely popular sport among online bettors and Jeffbet have a great tennis betting section. The outright odds for the Grand Slams are available throughout the year and, as well as the ATP and WTA tours, lower tier international tours such as the Challenger are covered. The markets for Grand Slam and ATP/WTA tournament matches are deep, giving you plenty of choice. The depth is not as great for the Challenger tour but there are still a variety of markets, including over/under on games, set betting and handicap bets as well as the match winner.

Our Jeffbet review found that basketball is a strength of the bookie. Obviously, the NBA is at the forefront of their coverage and there are hundreds of markets for every game. There are a huge amount of player props and there is a basketball bet builder to help you put your wagers together. There is also a great deal of depth to Euroleague betting and domestic competitions around the world are covered.

Jeffbet is an excellent esports bookie with great coverage of the leading tournaments. League of Legends enthusiasts can bet on The Worlds, the Mid-Season Invitational and the regional playoffs. For Counter-Strike 2 top tournaments including PGL Majors and IEM are available. There are a great range of esports markets, including betting on the tournament winner, match winner, map betting and match betting.

Jeffbet Odds and Betting Markets

4.0/5
Pros:
  • Consistently decent odds, frequently under 108% on the overround
  • Hundreds of markets on Premier League matches
  • Plenty of choices for outright bets in a range of sports
Cons:
  • Display of markets can be a little awkward
  • Tennis odds not as strong as other sports

Jeffbet have a great range of sports, leagues and competitions to wager on. The most popular events have deep markets, giving plenty of options for punters, and the drop off for more niche events is not quite as steep as it is for many of their rivals.

In terms of odds Jeffbet are consistent across the board. Their odds are always fair and can be competitive. While they offer better value than many of their rivals, they fall a little short of the bookies who consistently offer the sharpest prices. We put Jeffbet up against two stalwarts of the British online betting scene in bet365 and Ladbrokes.

MarketJeffbet Overroundbet365 OverroundLadbrokes Overround
Football: Premier League – Burnley vs Man City106%105.3%104.5%
Premier League Darts: Humphries vs Littler105.9%105.2%105.2%
Tennis: ATP Madrid – Tablio vs Royer108.1%105.5%106.3%

Across three events in three different sports Jeffbet average 106.7% on the overround, meaning that they are taking a margin of less that 7% on a consistent basis. In football and darts Jeffbet were a lot closer to bet365 and Ladbrokes but fell away a little with tennis.

Info box icon

Jeffbet: Decent value odds but short of industry leaders

Chris Sampson: In this Jeffbet review I found that they offer decent value across the board. However, as we can see, when we put them against industry heavyweights such as bet365 and Ladbrokes they have a little way to go in order to match their value.

Jeffbet Betting Features: Live Betting, Cash Out, Bet Builder and More

3.5/5

Live Betting

Pros:
  • Solid live betting platform
  • Rapidly updated odds
  • Graphics and text to keep up with the action
Cons:
  • Limited live streaming
  • Less stats than some competitors
screenshot of jeffbet live betting
Jeffbet's live betting page

Jeffbet provide decent live betting. At the time of writing there were 98 live markets available. Jeffbet have a decent in-play betting platform, though there are less stats available than at some on the UK’s leading bookies. There is limited live streaming, but you can keep up with the action through graphics. The live odds are decent value, pretty much in line with the pre-match odds. The odds are updated quickly, and you can follow the action through stats and graphics.

Cash Out

Pros:
  • Straightforward cash out system available on selected events
  • Partial cash out available
  • Usually available for popular sports and events
Cons:
  • No auto cash out

Our Jeffbet betting review found that the bookie has a cash out feature, which is available for selected events, for both pre-match and live markets, for both singles and multiples. If the cash out logo ($) is present it means you can look at how things are going and cash out early to secure profit or reduce losses. To cash out simply click on the cash out button, found in your open bet. Partial cash out is available on selected markets, where you can adjust your stake and then click the cash out button.

Bet Builder

Pros:
  • 10 different sports available
  • Great range of bet builder markets
  • Bet builder available for second tier football
Cons:
  • A little clunky at times
screenshot of jeffbet bet builder feature
Jeffbet's bet builder feature

The bet builder is one of the bookie’s strengths and this is acknowledged in most Jeffbet reviews. They have a fantastic range of sports available, rivalling the industry heavyweights in terms of variety. The bet builder can be used for football, basketball, tennis, ice hockey, American football, rugby league, rugby union, cricket, UFC and Aussie rules football. Like most other bookies the more prominent events and fixtures are more likely to have the bet builder option. In football, because of the sport’s popularity, the bet builder is available for more fixtures at a lower level. The markets offer great depth, especially for bigger events, with loads of player prop options. While some of the navigation can be a little clunky, Jeffbet have one of the leading bet builders in the UK online betting scene.

Casino

Pros:
  • Great range of slots
  • Superb live casino
  • Existing customer offers
Cons:
  • 10x wagering requirement on casino welcome offer
screenshot of jeffbet casino homepage
Jeffbet's casino homepage

Punters at Jeffbet also have the opportunity to use their casino. Our Jeffbet casino review showed that the operator has a great variety of slots from top providers, including Pragmatic Play, ELK, PlayTech, Play’nGo, Evolution and Hacksaw. Titles include Big Bass Trophy Catch, Rainbow River, Book of Dead and Cow Abduction. While slots are the cornerstone of the Jeffbet casino they have plenty of table games, including roulette, blackjack and poker.

They have a great live casino section with live dealer versions of poker, roulette, baccarat and blackjack, plus game shows, including Mega Ball, Stock Market and Spin A Win. There is also a separate bingo section with a number of variations. The casino section has a number of existing customer promos and many of the rewards programme is suited to casino players.

Jeffbet Service and Customer Support

3.5/5
Pros:
  • 24/7 live chat
  • Email contact
  • Efficient customer support staff
Cons:
  • Automated nature of live chat before you are connected to a member of staff is frustrating
  • No phoneline

Once you get through the automated section the staff are efficient, polite and helpful. There is also the option to contact the bookmaker through email.

Jeffbet Mobile App

Pros:
  • Site works well on mobile browser
Cons:
  • No mobile app

Jeffbet does not currently have a mobile app. However, the site can be accessed on a mobile phone or a tablet. We found that the site fits well into a mobile screen and that it works fine for betting on the move. The site is a little awkward and clunky at times on the pc and we found this to be the case on mobile devices too.
