Beat The Drop is one of the most exciting promotions to come from Paddy Power, allowing players the chance to win a cool £5,000!

The promotion is free to claim, giving you a pot of £5000 to use on 15 questions. For each of the latter, you must divide your pot between the two answers provided. You can divide this however you like, and if you are feeling particularly confident, you can even go all in!

Once the event occurs, the pot on the correct answer is carried forward to the next question, while the rest is lost. At the end of the 15 questions – which cover a range of sports – whatever you have remaining in the pot is yours! You have 14 days from the last question answered to answer the next question, or else the game is voided.

The image below shows how the pot may be split, using the slider to choose your answer.

With such simple rules to follow, it may seem as though there is no ‘best way’ to play Beat The Drop. However, there are many betting strategies to improve your chances at getting your hands on a big prize.

1. Research

Firstly, the best way to make Beat the Drop predictions is to do your research, by using stats, statistics and analysis. The added value of research will help you make more informed and accurate decisions.

2. Make a Choice

It may sound obvious, but making a choice and choosing one answer over the other is a risky, but potentially more rewarding choice. To put this into perspective, we have calculated the amount of earnings you stand to win if you split your prize down the middle for every question.

Question #Total Winnings After Each Question
1£2500
2£1250
3£625
4£312.5
5£156.25
6£78.13
7£39.06
8£19.53
9£9.76
10£4.88
11£2.44
12£1.22
13£0.61
14£0.30
15£0.15

If you split the pot for every question, you will end up with £0.15.

Placing the majority of your pot on one answer will give you much better results, provided the answer is the correct one. That being said, if there is a question which completely stumps you, splitting your pot down the middle may be the safer option.

3. Don’t Go All in

The questions in this game are generally all a bit tricky, so you will rarely find yourself in a position of certainty about your answers. Going all in on an answer will preserve the full pot, but it could also mean you lose the full pot and have to start over.

With this in mind, we suggest only going all in for the initial couple of questions and then limiting the damage potential to around 70-30 (unless you’re really confident in your answer).

As mentioned above, we only suggest splitting the pot when you’re completely clueless.

Want to get an even better chance of winning big in Beat The Drop? You're in luck – Paddy Power have thought of everything! If you are a member of the Paddy’s Rewards Club, you can skip the first two questions, meaning you’ll only need to answer 13!

To qualify for Paddy’s Reward Club, all you need to do is place a minimum of £5 one any bet, or £20 on any slot game to be considered a club member for the next week. The week after you place the initial bet, you can collect your 13 Question, £5,000 Beat the Drop game token from the promotional page and play as you normally would.

Beat The Drop is an exciting game where punters guess outcome of sports events with the possibility of winning up to £5000.

It is fairly simple. All you need to do is sign up and begin answering the questions asked. You have to answer 15 questions in total, with the final pot after the 15 rounds yours to keep.

The last question is always unpredictable, with the game itself covering a wide range of sports and events.

Paddy Power is known for their fantastic promotions and offers, and Beat The Drop is no exception. Starting out with all your winnings and playing to keep them puts a unique twist on this type of prediction game. With the potential to win such large winnings for free, we think this one is definitely worth a try!
