Hello, friends. A tradition like no other has finally arrived. Two years of posturing, captain uncertainties and “Hatgate” are behind us, and we’re just hours away from the first tee at the 2025 Ryder Cup. The USA leads the early outrights, priced at 3/4, while Europe has drifted to 9/5 or 5/4 to retain. Check out our full Ryder Cup betting guide for more.

Luke Donald holding the Ryder Cup - Latest Ryder Cup Tips and Predictions
European captain, Luke Donald, holding the Ryder Cup – Latest Betting Tips and Predictions

War cries have been heard far and wide around New York, with Team USA urging fans to “bring the chaos” as they try to win back the Ryder Cup following a dismal showing in Rome. A radical move to appoint 39-year-old Keegan Bradley at the helm has been a clear shift in dynamics by the PGA of America, aiming to remove the boys' club culture that has seen them win just three of the last 11 meetings.

For Europe, it’s business as usual, with just one change to the roster from 2023, as Nicolai Hojgaard is replaced by his twin brother, Rasmus. Skipper Luke Donald has left no stone unturned and even gone as far as using VR headsets to prep for the Bethpage noise that will ensue.

But it’s time for the mind games to stop and on-course business to start. Our Ryder Cup betting tips are live, and unlike Team USA, we won’t be commanding a fee.

Bet 1: USA Leader After Day 1 – Evens with bet365

Over the last 12 months, Data Golf shows that the USA have been 0.31 strokes per round per player better than Europe. That’s not insignificant, and they’re the form team heading into Friday on a wickedly challenging Bethpage Black course, measuring 7,459 yards and set up for bombers.

Historically, they have started well. Since 1979, they’ve led after Day 1 in seven of the last 11 Ryder Cups on home soil. In 2021 at Whistling Straits, they posted a record 6-2 drubbing, and Bradley will be hoping the raucous New York crowd nudges the first day in their favour. Interestingly, he’s opted to lead with foursomes, which they struggled with in Rome. The plan will be to feed off that raucous support to fire them out of the blocks, before pushing home their advantage in the afternoon fourballs.

Bet 2: Top Wildcard Points Scorer – Patrick Cantlay 6/1 with Spreadex

No Hat Pat appears to have settled any beef with the PGA of America regarding headwear for 2025. Thank the lord. Off the course, a divisive character. On it, one of the most underrated match-players in the field, ranking in the top 10 for SG: Total on the PGA TOUR in 2025.

He will have a full workload this week, teaming up with Xander Schauffele in the foursomes and should play at least four sessions, which is critical for any points scorer market. Across the last two Ryder Cups, he’s banked 5.5 from a possible eight points (68.8% possible) and is 2-0-0 in singles. He has the best strike rate from the wildcard market and at 6/1, looks a monster price.

Bet 3: Top Rookie – Russell Henley 15/8 with bet365

To be the top rookie at the Ryder Cup, you need a good partner, and it doesn’t get any better than current world number one, Scottie Scheffler. Russell Henley played with Scheffler three times at the 2024 Presidents Cup, and Bradley will likely reuse this very combo. This should get him at least three sessions over the first two days, before Sunday’s singles.

But Henley won’t just ride Scheffler’s coattails. He’s there on merit, ranking top 10 in driving accuracy this season and gaining 0.56 strokes on approaches. A 3-1-0 record in his debut in Montreal (winning twice with Scheffler) proves that this format will suit him and is the standout pick for top rookie at 15/8 with bet365.
