Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz are set to go head-to-head for the third straight final of 2025. The pair have been head and shoulders above the competition at this year's US Open and now draw major-season to a close under the open sky of the Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York.

Jannik Sinner US Open Final Betting Tips and Predictions
Jannik Sinner hitting a forehand winner ahead of the US Open Final against Carlos Alcaraz

It’s arguably their biggest battle yet, as the winner not only takes home the coveted prize of winning the US Open, but also the bragging rights as No.1 in the rankings.

Carlos Alcaraz’s goal of atoning for his shock second-round exit last year in New York is on track. He’s been remorseless en route to the final, dropping just one of 69 service games and yet to lose a set.

Jannik Sinner’s path has been purposeful, but tougher. The Italian dismantled Musetti in straight sets before facing a scare in the semis, losing the second set to Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime. He rallied in a way that few can, dominating the third and fourth to set up his fifth straight Grand Slam final and another final with rival, Alcaraz.

Bet 1: Total Tie-Breaks – Over 0.5

At the French Open, there were three tie-breaks, in what was an absolute epic. Even though Alcaraz has been frighteningly dominant over the past fortnight, he’s had two tie-breaks already. Sinner is yet to clock one, but he’s also not faced anyone as good as his closest rival, so we’re happy to take this on historical data as much as anything.

The key factor is the link between Sinner being the better server of the two and Alcaraz’s serve being on fire. Daytime conditions at the Arthur Ashe are generally slower, so this will lessen the first serve impact. And we know how good these two are with ground duels, making over 0.5 tie-breaks the first part of our US Open Final tennis tips.

Bet 2: Total Games – Over 41.5

For the record, we’d love the line to be at 39.5 to add a bit of a buffer, but at just shy of even money, it has enough value where we’re happy to include it.

Their 2025 Wimbledon final, which was relatively short for two players so evenly matched, landed at 40 games total (4-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4). These guys aren’t going straight sets; they’re too good, and 6-4 is low end for total games in a set.

If we roll it back to the French Open, they played 59 games, which smashed the total games line, and this could be another epic. Alcaraz’s hold rate has been obscene, and the 41.5 is just low enough in case we get to a worst-case scenario where this is wrapped in four sets.

Bet 3: 1st Set Total Games – Over 9.5

First sets generally trend a little longer. Both finals they’ve played against each other in 2025 have ended 6-4, which is a good sign. We must reference Alcaraz’s hold streak of 68 out of 69 this fortnight, which makes it more likely that holds will happen over early breaks.

Sinner will look to ease into the game as he often does. He takes time away on his returns without over-pressing, which is a key metric here. It wouldn’t be at all surprising to see the first clear over 9.5 games and the over in the tie-breaks bet earlier.

Bet 4: Most Aces – Jannik Sinner

We successfully backed Sinner to fire the most aces in our Wimbledon final preview; we’re doing the same this week. He’s very underrated with his serving, averaging 5.8 aces per match, compared to Alcaraz’s 4.4.

He shaded the Spaniard in Paris 8-7, and we will see more of that flatter, line-kissing first serve on the hard courts here in New York. This is one of the bankers for our US Open Final betting tips, and one we like the look of the most.
