- Sports not the main focus
- Odds aren’t always competitive
One of the biggest bookies online, Lottoland’s journey into sports betting has been interesting to say the least. Thinking about joining? My Lottoland review has all you need to know to get started.

Betting Features
While reviewing the betting site, I thoroughly went through the entire experience to make sure I gave an accurate analysis. I created a Lottland account, deposited real funds, and made real bets.
Being a huge fan of many sports, I tested out a few different ones to see whether the bookie offers competitive odds and in-depth markets. Read on to see why Lottoland got its rating.
-
Various gambling licences including UKGC
-
Deposit limits can be set from registration
-
Great reviews on Trustpilot
Security is top priority when reviewing bookmakers — and rightly so! We as punters give bookies so much personal information and trust them with our hard-earned cash. I took all this into account when reviewing this betting platform, and these are my thoughts on Lottoland’s security:
Gambling Licences
Lottoland’s newest sportsbook product holds the same level of security when compared to other reputable betting portals. Since they own a UKGC licence, they are able to operate in the region and are safe to use.
Additionally, as they are an international bookie, they also hold a variety of licences including:
-
The Gibraltar Gambling Commissioner
-
Irish National Excise Remote Betting Licence.
-
Internationally, they hold licences in Italy, Sweden, Australia, and South Africa.
Privacy Policy & Data Protection
Often overlooked, the privacy policy in every site is important as it indicates where your personal data is going. Lottoland’s privacy policy is easy to set when you enter the platform for the first time. A pop-up as shown above will appear on the bottom right of your screen.
You can choose what data the site can track and what you would like to keep private. This can be done by selecting ‘Cookie settings’ as can be seen above. You will then be taken to the ‘Cookie Preference Centre’, where you can choose your preferences.
Lottoland also use SSL encryption to make sure that your data is safe and protected, which is a must for all punters.
Setting Limits & Responsible Gambling
Setting limits
How do you know a bookie actually cares about its customers? Limits. If you think you need to slow down on your betting, a deposit limit could be the perfect way to start.
Lottoland gives you the option to set one straight away on registration.
This limit — which you have to set up on registration (see above) — is a daily one, but you can still add weekly as well as monthly limits to keep your long-term betting low.
Responsible Gambling
Thinking about taking a break from gambling? Lottoland offers resources to help stop gambling, mostly through links to responsible gambling sites, which can be located at the bottom of the site. The bookmaker also allows for self-exclusion for as long as you need.
Overall Online Feedback From Other Bettors on Lottoland
A single reviewer cannot gauge the full scope of the site without a little help from some trusty reviews from other punters.
One of the places I referred to for honest input is Trustpilot — an online review site which I have found very helpful in my aid to view punters’ feedback. I like the fact that Lottoland displays their Trustpilot score, adding transparency to their site.
With regards to the actual score, betting sites tend to get very low scores, so 3.5 is actually quite good, all things considered. And there are many great reviews, especially recently. Here are a few of the most common points which were brought up by punters.
Positives
Negatives
Many comments praised the legitimacy of the site
Several complaints about their email service being slow or unresponsive
Great variety of markets
Allowed someone who was self-excluded to open a new account to bet on
Several comments about the fast live chat services
Some withdrawal time issues
Some speedy withdrawal times
Quick to solve account errors
Security Breaches
On home soil, Lottoland was fined £760,000 for breaching the social responsibility and anti-money laundering rule between October 2019 and November 2020. However, there have been no issues reported since.
-
One-step registration process
-
Straightforward verification process
-
Submitting KYC documents is mandatory before making deposits
Registration Process
Things you love to see: a user-friendly, one-page registration form. Lottoland provides just that while still collecting all the relevant details. First, you’ll need to click ‘Register' on the top right of your screen.
It’s extremely easy to get started, as all you need to enter is your full name, email, password, postal address, date of birth, and your desired deposit limit.
KYC Requirements
‘Know Your Customer’ requirements are standard from all licensed bookmakers in order to be able to deposit and withdraw. Here’s how to complete this step:
-
First click on the ‘My Account’ section at the top of the screen. You will find a red box indicating that you have to update documents. Upload the required documents and you’re good to go!
-
Lottoland asks for proof of age and address. An ID card or driver’s licence is enough.
-
Once again, this step is quick and intuitive. It took a few minutes until Lottoland confirmed the documents.
And that’s it! The bookie has made it superbly easy on us punters, and all of this genuinely took around five minutes. The wait for Lottoland to review and verify the documents was slightly longer, but was still ready on the same day.
-
£5 stake back as a free bet
-
If you win your first bet, you won’t get anything
-
No odds limits
Lottoland’s sportsbook welcome offer is a ‘£5 stake back as a free bet’.
You have to ‘Opt In’ from the site to receive this promotion. Once that's done, you can then proceed to place a £5 bet, either a single or acca. If the bet loses, you’ll be entitled to a £5 free bet, whereas if you win, you won't be entitled to the offer. It’s important to note that combo bets are not accepted.
The offer is a bit strange, as if you win your first bet, you won’t actually be getting anything. The £5 minimum and maximum is also very small, so it is not a very lucrative offer.
The main positive is that there is no limit on the odds for your first bet, meaning you can bet on something which is 100/1 with a chance to win big. You can then do the same if your bet loses.
Welcome Offer Key Terms & Conditions
There are some more things you need to know to benefit from this offer, so we’ve listed the most important relevant terms and conditions below:
-
You must ‘Opt in’ before placing your first bet.
-
The minimum and maximum you can bet is £5 to be eligible for the offer — there is no odds limit.
-
If your first placed bet loses, you’ll be entitled to a £5 free bet.
-
The free bet stake (£5) is not included in winnings.
-
The free bet will be credited within 72 hours of settlement.
-
You will have seven days to claim and use the offer once it is credited to your account.
-
Variety of deposit options
-
Withdrawals are relatively fast
-

Before you can even think about placing a bet, you need to deposit some funds into your account. Lottoland’s process is quite intuitive, and you can start it from the home page.
Step 1: Where to start? At the top of your screen, you can find the ‘Deposit’ button. It will take you directly to the relevant section in your account. Alternatively, you can click on ‘My Account’ and ‘Deposits’ can be found there.
Step 2: Choose how to pay. Once on the ‘Deposit’ page, you can select how much you would like to deposit. The minimum is £10. At the bottom of the page, you’ll find Lottoland’s available payment methods. Fill in your account details, as illustrated below in ‘2.Finish your payment' and your good to go!
I decided to deposit £10 using my Visa card, which took about five seconds in total. When compared to other bookies, Lottoland support a decent number of payment options, but sadly, they don’t offer any cryptocurrencies.
Step 3: Don’t forget your welcome offer. Make sure that before placing any bets, you head over to the Lottoland welcome offer and ‘Opt in’. Once you do that, you’ll be directed to place your first bet. The free bet will show up once the bet is settled.
Placing a bet is standard and is similar to most bookies, with a fixed betslip on the right-hand side. When adding legs or placing bets, they’ll immediately show up there.
Placing the actual bet was simple. I opted to bet on the Women’s World Cup:
Withdrawing Funds From Lottoland
Step 1: Enter ‘My Account’. Once there, you’ll be able to enter the ‘Payout’ tab found at the top of the page.
Step 2: Select your preferred payment method. As stated earlier, the closed loop policy won’t allow you to use any other payout methods other than the ones you used to deposit. I went with Visa as that is the way I deposited in the first place.
Step 3: Receive your funds. The final step is to wait — depending on your method of choice, this may take a few hours up to a few days. I had no issues with my withdrawals, and the times above proved to be accurate.

Lottoland Bet Club – Loyalty Programme
-
No other promotions on offer right now
-
Price boosts offered during football season
The biggest let down of Lottoland has to be the complete lack of promotions. They only offer the welcome promotion when it comes to their sportsbook, and even that isn’t eye-watering by any measure.
While there is mention of a ‘Price boost’, there so far haven’t been any to be seen. With the Premier League and many other major leagues well underway, I’d have expected to find some boosts.
As the bookie mainly focused on bingo and scratch cards, there are way more promotions for those. It may be worth checking them out as an alternative form of betting.
Lottoland VIP
Lottoland offer the Millionaire’s Club, an invite-only VIP programme which awards members extra bonuses and prizes. The problem with this scheme is that it’s extremely difficult to find any more information about it, or if it is still in effect at all.
The only content I could find is a Christmas video on one of their site pages, and absolutely nothing else. From what I have gathered, the Club seems to be available to their international customers but not for those in the UK.
Lottoland Loyalty Programme
The Lottoland Bet Club is a great loyalty programme that's available to all customers.
One of the main highlights is that you can claim the reward every Friday.
Reaching the criteria will give you a £5 free bet, but what do you need to do to win it?
All that's required is that you bet at least £25 on accas between Saturday to Thursday. There are a few terms and conditions you should also keep in mind:
-
The qualifying time is from Saturday 00:00 GMT+0 – Thursday 23:59 GMT+0.
-
Punters must bet a total of £25 on acca bets with a minimum of three selections and minimum odds of 3/1 (4.0).
-
Bets must also be settled before Thursday 23:59 GMT+0.
-
Voided bet will not count towards your £25 qualifying bets.
-
The £5 free bet will be awarded before Friday at 18:00 GMT+0.
-
If your free bet is voided, it will be refunded in full.
-
Free bet winnings are capped at £100.
-
Free bets can only be used separately.
Please note that the offers mentioned here are correct at the time of reviewing Lottoland and are subject to change.

37 sports available for betting

Statistical information available
Sports
There are a total of 37 sports available for pre match betting on Lottoland. These include your classics football, tennis and rugby to much more niche sports like 3v3 basketball, Pesapallo and hurling.
Their markets are also bountiful, with hundreds of options available on the biggest events.
Lottoland’s pre-match offering rivals even the best bookmakers. The betting margins are decent too, although there are markets which aren't as competitive.
The pages lack sports specials, such as transfers, which isn’t crucial, but it’s always an added bonus.
eSports
Lottoland is the place to bet if you love esports. I counted 15 different esports to choose from and they’ve got great coverage of events, matches and markets to choose from. It’s important to note that they’re only visible when there is an upcoming event. For example, they also have Rainbow Six and Overwatch which you can’t see in my screenshot above.
The depth of markets varies depending on which esports you’re interested in. While you'll always find the basic betting options, don't expect an incredibly detailed range. Odds however are relatively competitive, and some events are even livestreamed.
Other Specials
Specials are the weird and wacky cousin of sports betting. You never know what you’re going to find, but it’s always going to be interesting.
Sadly, though, Lottoland as of right now offer very little in way of specials betting. There's only one single market for BBC’s Sports Personality of the Year. If you’re looking for specials specifically, you’d be better off looking elsewhere.
Cash Out & Bet Builder
Bet Builder
Bet builders are typically offered on the big events such as major tournaments or leagues. You won't find this feature for more niche sports, as they don't offer the depth needed. However, when the option is present, it's usually top-notch.
-
Brilliant range of sports for in-play betting
-
Football betting is particularly in-depth
-
Livestreaming available on select sports
Lottoland have an excellent in-play betting section that can be found at the top of the sportsbook homepage. You can filter the many options available by sport, which vary in depth according to how popular or in-demand each one is.
Popular events are covered in great depth, and roughly match the pre-match options available. Football, tennis, basketball, hockey, and most major sports have thousands of events and markets available. For example, the image below highlights multiple live betting options for a match in the Burundi League A League.
You can find this sort of range in many other sports, so you’ll always be spoiled for choice when it comes to live bets. The only limitation is a 50p minimum stake, but other than that, it’s fair game.
Livestreaming
Fancy actually watching what you're betting on? Well, the bookie can give you just that. On the top right of the live betting section, you can toggle to only show events which are available for streaming. You can also tell that an event has livestreaming by the TV icon near the scoreline.
Not every sport is available, so I suggest checking out what's offered at the time of betting. In general, esports betting is all streamed live, while sports such as table tennis, hockey, and others can be found too.

Helpful FAQ section
Live Chat
You’ve looked through the FAQs, but you’re still not satisfied with what you’ve found. What should you do? Most punters will look for a live chat, and I am no different. In this case, I asked about the promotions available to me.
Firstly, you can find the live chat from a small tab which is always visible on the right side of the screen. You’ll need to provide a few details including your name, email address, and subject of inquiry.
Once those are filled, a live assistance tab will open, as seen below. They asked me for my email address and date of birth for confirmation. The agent was helpful and efficient, and the whole conversation took about five minutes. I would highly recommend using this feature if you need to.
Email Support
The email support route is your second option to contact Lottoland directly. In this case, I asked about changing my personal details, and just before sending the message, the bookie gave me a few FAQ options which actually answered my question, saving a lot of time. I sent the email anyway to see how their service performs.

Quality of Customer Service
The Customer service is excellent, with friendly staff and helpful insights.
The FAQs are extensive and will likely answer most of your questions.
-
Superbly simple site to navigate
-
Well designed, clean pages
-
Useful buttons to increase user friendliness
The site is well balanced and is able to offer many of the important features of a betting site within the homepage without overcrowding it. The elegant design makes it great for beginners to navigate, and it’s quick and responsive, which is a big plus.
One of the highlights of the site for me is the top bar which includes buttons for in-play, virtuals, the bet club, and a sports guide, making it really helpful to quickly navigate through the site. The search bar, on the other hand, is placed on the left beneath the top leagues, which is a little too out of the way, but is common for betting sites.
Everything to do with accessing your account is found at the top right of the site. This includes the registration or login areas, as well as your ‘Account’ page, which is also intuitive to use.
-
The app is available on Android and iOS
-
Seamless mobile friendly browser
-
Highly rated
As with any top bookie, Lottoland offer a mobile-friendly browser version that matches the standards of the actual browser. It’s fast, equally intuitive, and is perfect for betting on the go.
The layout is well designed, with account details found on the top right, while most other betting tools are found on the left dropdown menu. Overall, it’s on par with the original desktop site.
Lottoland Mobile App
The bookie provides an excellent app for mobile users, compatible with both iOS and Android devices. Having managed to closely mirror the browser experience, it has earned a favourable 4.4-star rating on Google’s Play Store.
Structurally, it’s very similar to the mobile site, meaning it is quite easy to navigate and get used to. If you prefer using apps for betting, Lottoland’s is a solid choice to consider.
Casino
While Lottoland offer a decent casino page, it isn’t as extensive as the bigger hitters. In total, there are 1,802 slots available, with 52 different table games from roulette to solitaire, complete with live dealer options.
And what’s the best way to start playing? That’s right — with a welcome offer! Lottoland’s casino bonus grants 20 free spins on Big Bass Bonanza when you deposit and play £10. It’s a good place to start, but doesn’t compare to many other casino promotions elsewhere.
Bingo
Looking for bingo? Lottoland has got that too! It isn’t the most extensive page, with a total of 32 games available to play, but they make up for it with some brilliant bingo promotions, including weekly wins and huge jackpots.
Lottoland Bingo is a small page with some mighty strengths, and it’s well worth a go if you’d like to try out something new. Is it a replacement to a bingo focused site? No, but it’s the perfect add-on.
Poker
Lottoland offers four poker tables — a decent yet modest offering overall, though one that is not going to be breaking any records for variety any time soon.
Virtual Sports
The bookie offers a simply stunning amount of virtual sports available, from football to tennis and much more in between. The events are quick, exciting, and everything you could expect from a worthwhile virtual betting experience.
There’s a healthy number of betting options to choose from, as well as many markets for each event. The only slight issue is that sometimes the site was a little slow to load. The image above highlights this.
Scratchcards
Last but not least, Lottoland features a scratchcard page, adding to the site’s already diverse offerings.
There’s a wide variety of scratchies to play, ranging from £0.10p to £20 per card. It’s a fun little add-on, and the lower-priced cards make it possible to try things out without breaking the bank.
As for the welcome bonus, it's a compelling deal: bet £5 and receive 5 Lottoland scratchcards along with 50 spins on Rainbow Jackpots. A great offer which gives you some free bets on two platforms.
Overall, Lottoland is a great site for anyone who loves a bit of variety, their main highlight being the vast range of betting portals to choose from. Where the bookie falls short is its welcome offer and promotions, which are extremely limited. The sportsbook is still in its infancy, so I expect to see improvements over time.
This review is based on our own personal experiences and opinions and should be used as an aid in making your own decision.
Responsible Gambling Disclaimer
The most important thing to consider when betting is your wellbeing! It may not always be easy to step on the brakes, but it’s vital that you gamble responsibly. I’ve found GambleAware to be a great way to keep myself in check.
FAQs
The minimum deposit for Lottoland is £10 for every method.
Once you verify your account, all you’ll need to do is go to ‘Your Account’ section, click withdraw, choose the method which is available to you, and confirm.
The processing time for each payment method varies; in general it's best to wait up to five working days for traditional methods, and two to three days for e-wallets.
Lottoland offer three main methods to contact their customer support. These are through telephone on +44 0203 793 6169, email at support@lottoland.com, and live chat, which is available throughout most of the day.
