2026 Darts Players Championship Betting Tips & Predictions
As the final draws ever closer, we’ve tapped into the form guides, stats and data trends to see who’s going to walk away with the title and the £120,000 winners' cheque for 2025.
Gerwyn Price
If you listened to any of Gezzy’s interviews this year, you’d be forgiven for thinking that he’s had a poor season. He sounds a little down about his game right now, but the Welshman is miles ahead in the Players Championship Order of Merit and will likely head into the finals as the top seed. His consistency has been incredible, with four wins to his name already, which bodes well for Price to turn his season from good to great at the PDC Players Championship.
Stephen Bunting
A switch has been flicked for the Bullet over the last 12 months, and he continues to go from strength to strength. With two Darts Players Championship wins to his name and a nine-darter at PC20, his confidence on stage is oozing. He’s no longer an outsider to win these big events, so the price will need to be right, but you’d do a lot worse than backing Bunting to win his third, and highest profile, World Series title of the year.
Damon Heta
If you’re looking for outsider value, Damon Heta will be worth a punt. The Aussie is currently ranked third in the Order of Merit, and he’s been rock solid on the floor, with two titles and a ton of deep runs to his name. What’s impressive about Heta is his ability to beat the big names. Littler, Humphries, Price, and Bunting have all fallen victim to Damon’s qualities this season, and he’s often overlooked in these events. He has been in great form and is one to watch.
Popular Players Championship Betting Markets
To capitalise on the value in the Players Championship Darts finals, you need to be flexible across a handful of markets. We’ve some of the more popular (and not so popular) ones below, with a little more about how each works.
Bet on who will be the champion at the end of the finals. This will be the most popular market, and if you predict correctly, often the one with the biggest odds.
An extension to the outright winner is each way betting. This is where your bet is split in two; one half is on the player to win outright, and the other is to place, paying at 1/5 of the outright winner market. For Players Championship betting, a “place” will be to make the final.
Simply bet on a player to make the final. This pays out the same regardless of whether they win the final or not.
Pick at what stage of the Darts Players Championship finals a player will be eliminated. For example, quarter-final, semi-final, final, etc.
Choose which player will score the most 180s in the tournament.
This market allows you to choose whether a nine-darter will occur at any point in the tournament. Some bookies will allow you to expand on this bet and select a specific player or a section of the draw that one will land in.

bet365 hit the bullseye for betting on darts
Jonathan Askew: I've tested many bookies over the years, especially for darts betting, and I always find myself coming back to bet365. The bet boosts are the biggest selling point for me. You can get up to 30% extra from the boosts, and they’ve now started running these on popular bet builders as well, which is great. Market depth is pretty much unrivalled. You’ll have about 30 pre-tournament markets, and then most games have 20+ for in-play betting. And finally, their odds are so consistent. You’ve low juice of around 4% on average, which means that if they aren’t best priced, they are very close. I always recommend having access to multiple bookies to jump on the best odds, but if you insist on only one, make it bet365.

Fancy a look at some cracking insights to help you make your own Players Championship picks for 2025? Of course you do. Well, here’s everything you need to know.
Players Championship Darts Latest Trends
Over the last decade, no player has been more successful than Michael van Gerwen, winning six titles. Luke Humphries is the only player to have won multiple Player Championships in that period, and just so happens to be the reigning champ.
The finals are generally played at an incredibly high standard, with six of the last ten winners averaging 100+. In 2023 and 2024, both finalists averaged 100+ for the first time in tournament history.
There have been four nine-dart finishes in the tournament's history. Two of those came in finals, with MvG landing both in 2022 and then again in 2023. 20% of the last 10 finals have landed a “nine”, which shows that betting on whether there will be one market has bite.
Darts Players Championship Prize Money
The 2025 Darts Players Championship prize money is set at £600,000. The winner will take home a cool £120,000 for their week's work, making it one of the richest tournaments in the PDC.
