Premier League game week two is all but done, and each of the newly promoted sides have claimed their first wins. Can they keep it up and stay in the promised land, or are they just delaying the inevitable?

Leeds United celebrate Largia Ramazani's goal against Harrogate in the third round of the FA Cup.
Leeds United are one of the favourites to get relegated, but can they buck the trend of newly promoted teams going straight back down?

With all six of the newly promoted sides from the last two seasons going straight back down, you may be licking your lips at the chance of betting on a repeat.

But all three have had decent starts, each winning one of their two matches. Seven teams, including Manchester United, have registered fewer points so far.

Premier League Odds to Go Down

Does that mean the three promoted sides are already safe? Not on your life, but there are a few clubs that could take the fall instead of them. Wolves and West Ham spring to mind, but are they worth a punt on? Let’s check out the odds for the favourites to go down this season.

Burnley’s Bubble Won’t Last Long

Burnley are still the favourites to go down, despite beating Sunderland 2-0 on the weekend. Burnley are one of the weakest teams out there, and the main reason they have put points on the board so early is because they played one of the other really weak sides. Our verdict: Relegation.

Sunderland’s Fortress or False Hope?

Sunderland got off to a flying start back in the Premier League with a 3-0 win over West Ham United. They lost to Burnley, but we expect the Stadium of Light to be an absolute fortress, which could see them stay in the Prem. They only beat West Ham, though. Our verdict: Survival.

Wolves Toothless Without a Bite Up Front

Wolves haven't even scored a goal yet, but they did play Man City and Bournemouth. We think that despite losing some of their best players, Wolves aren’t as bad as the first two games would suggest. We expect them to pick up more points as the season goes on, but they need to bring in a striker to sort out their front line if they want to improve. Our verdict: Relegation without a new striker.

West Ham: From European Dreams to Nightmare Reality

They have been an absolute shambles so far. Eight goals conceded in two games and only one goal. West Ham have so much work to do if they want to stay up. A 3-0 loss to Sunderland could be a terrible sign of what’s to come, and expect them to go down and win the Manager sack race. Our verdict: Relegation.

Leeds Walking the Tightrope Again

It’s a close call. Leeds have some quality in their ranks, and a win against Everton is pretty good when compared to their other relegation favourites. They did get battered by Arsenal and looked all over the place. If they can't sort themselves out, we may see a not-so-surprising relegation. We think they could just have enough in them to stay up. Our verdict: Survival.

Long Shots or Hidden Gems? Value Picks in the Drop Zone

In search of something more interesting than seeing the bottom three clubs get relegated? Here are a few other clubs which could cause a shock and go down this season. Here are the Premier League relegation odds with bet365.

Brentford: The Buzz is Fading

Brentford was the team on everyone’s lips for a surprise relegation before the season started. One win and one loss have hardly proven the haters wrong, and the odds reflect the likelihood of them going down if they don’t replace their lost stars.

Manchester United: The 33/1 Meltdown Special

Now that would be a shock. United have been terrible over the last few seasons, and their first couple of matches show that they still suffer many of the same issues from last season. Will they go one worse than last season? It’s a long shot, but hardly impossible.

Aston Villa: From Europe Push to Relegation Whisper?

Villa have started this season much worse than expected. They’ve registered more points, one, than they’ve scored goals, zero, and they will need to play much better if they have top seven aspirations.

Before the season began, unsurprisingly, Leeds, Burnley and Sunderland were the favourites to go down. Fast forward two weeks, and there are already a few other teams looking like a dumpster fire waiting to happen, while all three have already gathered 3 points apiece.

You may even find more value in betting on one or all of these teams to stay in the Premier League. It’s a long shot for all three to stay up, but it’s definitely a possibility. Here are the odds with bet365.

Burnley4/112/1
Sunderland4/75/4

Sunderland and Leeds could offer good Premier League survival odds, but history has proven that this feat is getting harder and harder. Still, if there are a couple of teams that can buck this trend, it’s two English giants.
