World Cup 2026 Confirmed England Squad List Tips

Bet 1: 6/5 Odds: Can Everton Get Grealish Unstuck?

The second half of 2025 has been almost a rehabilitation period for Jack Grealish. After spending much of the 2024/25 season warming the bench at Manchester City, many felt he had lost the spark that once shone so brightly as Villa captain.

His move to Everton, however, appears to have reignited his form. Four assists in three games show that Grealish can still deliver results and be a creative outlet should the likes of Rice and Kane need fresh inspiration as the pressure mounts.

Of course, Tuchel has yet to utilize Grealish in the qualifiers. But with the England head honcho emphasizing that Jack must play regularly to be considered, his stint with the Toffees could be just enough to sweeten the deal. If his electric start at Everton continues, and there’s every reason to believe it will, we could very well see Grealish don the England shirt again. On current form, his chances look better than even, making 6/5 odds very tempting.

Bet 2: England’s Goalkeeper Gamble: 9/4 Odds on Ramsdale as a Safe Pair of Hands

Let’s be totally honest here. For the most part, Pickford has been bang average in the qualifiers. And that’s not really his fault. He’s only had to save one goal and they haven’t conceded yet. But we’ve seen his flaws in previous tournaments against top-tier teams, and Tuchel will be looking to move the needle to get England that much-coveted big international accolade. That’s why Tuchel named four goalkeepers in the first place, he wants to keep his options open.

Aaron Ramsdale is the real question mark here, as the potential returns on Trafford (1/5) and Henderson (1/3) aren’t offering any value. For the bookies, Trafford is considered the logical number two with 26 clean sheets in 37 matches. But remember, that’s at Championship level.

When tested in the Premier League, our clean sheet stats show only one in three perfect results so far, with six goals conceded. Basically, the numbers suggest Trafford is not coping well at the top level. Ramsdale, used to being under nightmarish pressure behind a Southampton defence leakier than a chocolate kettle, might actually be a safer pair of hands. If he can prove in Newcastle that he can perform well with a better supporting cast, he could easily find himself on a plane to the States very soon.

Bet 3: Tuchel’s Secret Weapon? Back Spence at 6/4

A very tasty low-risk bet, this one. For starters, Djed Spence has already featured in the qualifiers, coming on for Reece James and putting in a perfectly respectable performance against Serbia. Most importantly, it shows intention from Tuchel. The heart-warming footage of Harry Kane presenting Spence with his first England cap is all well and good, but this team is about results. If there wasn’t faith in Spence’s ability to perform on the pitch, he simply wouldn’t be there, even at qualification level.

And vitally, he’s been sensational at the back for Tottenham. Our defending stats show he blocked three shots last season, but that’s just part of the story. His tenacity could make him the best choice against very aggressive teams, and we’re pretty sure England will face plenty of that if they progress well in the tournament. If we were Tuchel, we’d have him ready to bring fire and energy into the defence when things get tough. It looks like the England manager sees that too. At 6/4 odds, this is an absolute belter of a value bet.
