How Are Super 6 Points Calculated?
Super 6 has the following points system:
-
2 points for a correct result
-
5 points for a correct scoreline
For example, if you predict Arsenal to win 2-0 but they only win 1-0, then you will receive 2 points. However, if they were to win 2-0, you'd bag yourself the 5 points.
The Golden Goal tiebreaker is used to determine the winner of the guaranteed weekly, monthly and season competitions for people who have the same total points, number of correct scores, and correct results.

What Is Super 6 Extra?
In essence, Super 6 Extra is a bonus prediction game that focuses on just one of the weekend’s fixtures.
You’re required to answer six questions on the featured game for the chance to win £5,000. The questions include the full-time and half-time scores, who’ll score the first goal and receive the first card, who’ll be named Man of the Match, and how many corners there will be.
Points are calculated in a similar manner to the default Super 6 game. So, for example, five points are awarded for predicting the correct score, and two are awarded for the correct result.
For the first goalscorer or first to be carded questions, five points are awarded for the correct answer, and two for whether your selected player scores or is booked at any time.
Then, for the stats questions, such as corners and shots on target, it’s five points for the correct prediction, and two if you’re one out either side of the exact number.
You must get every prediction right to have a shot of winning the £5,000 jackpot. If there are multiple winners, the tiebreak question will be used to determine the victor, which, in this instance, is possession share. This means that players must correctly predict the respective shares of possession of both sides in the featured match.
Super 6 Extra is also free to play, with a Sky Bet account being all that’s required in order to compete.
Tips for Playing Sky’s Super 6
Here are four tips for playing Sky’s Super 6:
1. Don’t listen to the pundits
Every week, two pundits – including Gilette Soccer Saturday host Jeff Stelling – provide their predictions – for the six featured games. Players can choose to go head-to-head against Jeff and get in with a chance of winning £500.Although you’ll be able to see the pundits’ respective predictions while you’re making your picks, it’s imperative that you don't allow yourself to be swayed by their opinions. As brilliant a host Stelling is, he is no football expert!Do you own research. Make your own choices!
2. Don’t be swayed by the ‘predictions so far’
Following a similar theme, players will also be able to access the consensus predictions while making their Super 6 picks.By clicking ‘Stats’, you can see the percentage of players that have picked each outcome. For example, 91% of players have backed Aston Villa to beat Norwich City in the upcoming Premier League clash that features on Sky’s Super 6.As is the case with the pundits, you shouldn’t let the consensus make your picks for you. The variability of the sport and the law of averages suggest that the most favoured outcome will not play out in all six of the featured games.
3. Make the most of the stats offered
There isn’t too much to go with in terms of statistics, but Sky does provide the last six results for all of the teams involved in any given Super 6.The respective forms of teams are useful to be aware of when making a prediction. However, you might want to check out a ton of other metrics. For example, when making a correct score prediction, tactical elements must be considered.Basic statistics, such as goals scored and goals conceded, can provide you with a guide, but they won’t help you make an accurate prediction. However, we appreciate that even if you have impressive tactical know-how and in-depth knowledge of Premier League and Championship outfits, it’s still incredibly hard to make accurate predictions consistently. There’s simply too much variance.
4. Appreciate that luck is required
Following on from the above point made, you’ve got to appreciate that a ton of luck is involved with Super 6, especially when it comes to making six accurate correct score predictions. While you can utilise your knowledge to accurately predict the outcome of any given game, correct score projections are so, so difficult. Thus, you should focus on securing two points for your predictions (correctly guessing the result) as opposed to nailing the correct score. By nailing the two-pointers, five-point outcomes will naturally increase in frequency.
